I'm new to eBay. I did not notice their mention of mandatory insurance of $2.00 per item. The cost of the items I bid on was only $.99. The cost of insurance for those items was over twice the actual cost of the merchandise. I tried to contact them twice via email, through eBay, but never received a response back.
In my last email, I offered to complete my purchase and to pay insurance costs of $1.00 per item, because I felt that would not make the overall cost of the merchandise unreasonable. Again, I never received a response.
