Complaint Review: Jiffy Lube # 1119 Cliff Bogess Mgr.

(1) took my Van in on 1-15-03 for an oil change. The van was not leaking oil.

(2) after the change, the van leaked oil like a sieve. The company refused to take responsibility, claiming the threads were worn.

(3) Jiffy Lube was the only ones to change the oil for the past 2.5 years, every 3,000 to 4,000 miles.

(4) Pictures of my drive way indicate no leaks until after I brought the vehicle home.

(5) the Manager, Cliff Bogess, refused to take responsibility, suggesting my pictures were fake, etc., etc.

(6) Forturnately, I took the van to a real mechanic the next day. The leak was fixed, and the engine was not damaged.
I asked Mr. Bogess to cover the repair costs. he refused.

(7) If you want to maintain your car, DO NOT TAKE IT TO JIFFY LUBE FOR AN OIL CHANGE, at least not in the sugarhouse area of Salt Lake City.

(8) I will use this as an example of how not to do business in my classes at the local college. Caveat Emptor.
