Complaint Review: Jiffy Lube

On Nov.10 2002 I went to the Jiffy Lube Station to have a lube and oil change. I was met by a young man and asked if I wanted a regular service of an oil change,check air filter and pcv valve and all fluid levels. I answered yes and that I was especially interested in the air filter and pcv valve because of the milage on the car and the last time they were checked.

Upon completetion I asked specficically about the pcv valve the young lady, who indicated she was in charge, said they were ok and called the young man who worked on the car to testify to its condition. There were 97453 miles on the Chevy Astro Van and I was sure the valve should be changed and asked to see the valve.

The yound lady went out to the Van lifted the hood looked under it and returned and said there is no valve on an Astro Van. I indicated that the service manual said differently. She then said they don't have the tools to check the valve.

I asked how that could be since the man who worked on the car said it was clean. Since the manager was doing most of the lying I felt it was futil to continue the arguement.

When I got into the car I found someone had cleaned out my change container. I returned and complained and got a shrug of the shoulders by the person in charge.
