I came in twice in a 4 month period to get an oil change and filter done on my Nissan Pathfinder. A week ago i took the car to the dealership to get my 15,000 mile service where they notified me that no oil change or filter was ever done since the last time i received service from the dealership. i dont know what damage that has caused to the engine of the car - but i paid $60 each time and basically they cheated me out of service that they claimed to have performed.

Maybe you should be better at explaining what is happening.
You said that you took it to Jiffy Lube for 2 oil changes, and then to the dealer for your 15,000 mile service.
Soooo that would make someone think that you aren't getting your oil changes done at the dealer.

Most of the reports on here have rebuttles posted by other people. If you don't give clear information in your report how can you expect others to know what is going on? Their rebuttles can only be as good as the information you give. And if you just don't want others to respond, well then, you are posting in the wrong place.

-------
Anyhow, is that not the stupidest thing? Charge someone for an oil change and not do it? It's just a matter of time until someone realizes that the filter has not been changed. I mean, if you are going to lie and cheat, at least do it on something that would be a little harder to know that the work hadn't been done. That stuff always amazes me, that a shop would be willing to get a bad reputation (let alone the flat out lying and stealing from people) to make a few extra bucks. I could never do that, especially not for the 3 bucks the filter costs, I couldn't look at my customers knowing that they come in and put trust in us the way they do.

But it is true that many dealers (as well as other shops who want your business) will lie and say something to make the other shop look bad.

I had a customer come to me in my NC shop. He had a pretty Acura. It had 50K miles on it, and always had one guy do his oil changes. He moved into Jacksonville NC(a Marine), and when I was under the car, I noticed the factory oil filter on it.

The guy was enraged. The same shop had been changing his oil all those years, and never even touched the filter. It still had the factory inspector's mark on it. The Honda Dealer came by and looked at it. They agreed. The stuff really hit the fan at that point.

I changed the oil AND the filter, and had him come back after 500 miles to change it again. I sold him on Synthetic, and he was a happy camper afterwards.

the jealous-lost that work-dealer is lying to you to get you to come back to them.
How are you going to know the difference?
They have no proof of what they claim.
I would go elsewhere than Jiffy Lube and then back to the jilted dealer and see if they say the same thing again. If they do, then they are the ones lying to you.
I think you may find this to be the case.
