Jiffy Lube Service Center #3240 Cracked windshield while repairing a chip in the black area and claimed it wasn't their fault Meridian, Idaho
Took my car for an oil change and they found a chip in the lower black margin of the windshield which they insisted they could fix. When I stated I was told by a window chip repair place that it could not be fixed in that location, they promised they had fixed hundreds of chips in this area and that it would not damage my windshield. The chip was there for several months and they said it would spread if I hit a bump just right.
I finally acquiested. They attempted to fix the chip, filed a report with my insurance, asked me to pay the bill, then gave me my car....with a dozen cracks running in all directions from their "repair". They denied they damaged the windshield and told me it was just fine when they finished; yet, they clearly saw I had not touched the car. When the windshield was replaced, they told me it should never have been repaired in that location. I have filed a complaint with the company, yet nobody has responded.
