This breeder sold me a puppy she knew was sick. He arrived to me and he was sad, lathargic, never played or ate. I eventually had to bring him to the hospital after a day and he was given fluids. Eventually the poor puppy had to be put to sleep because he was deteroriating so horribly and it was becomming inhumane to keep him alive.

HE was with me from July 3 to July 12 when he was put to sleep he spent 7 of those nights in the ER or Vet hospital. I had several opinions on his condition and spoke to hundreds of chihuahua owners to find out what could be wrong. He was given the best medical care I could buy and believe me it wasn't cheap (over $2000). I grew attached to him and was truly heartbroken when he was not responding to treatment. Every Vet I spoke with told me to call the breeder and send him back.

The breeder was defensive from the first call I made to her and never helpful but instead confrontational saying things like that's what I get for selling to kids (I'm 25). She yelled at my vet on the phone and hung up on him. She never offered any adivce on what was happening and only offered harassing emails to make herself feel better by accusing me to the point that I felt I had to defend myself. I never want her to be able to do this again because it was the most horrific experience ever. I care that it cost a lot because I am poor but I care more that I lost the little puppy, Romeo. He was the sweetest pup ever and was sadly so sick. The vet named things from hypoglycemic (to the point he would crash after coming off dextrose iv's), protein that wouldn't rise (levels in his blood were severly low), anemia, water under his skin, blood in his stool, not eating (anything), lathargic, going into seizures, diarreah, and constant sleepiness. PLEASE if you are getting a Chihuahua puppy check this out first! I hope this stops her from doing it again.
PS She tries to act like she has been doing this forever but from her own admissions on her website she has only been breeding since 2004.

Take all of your documentation to the courthouse and file at small claims.
Ask your vet to write a report specifically for the courts.
Have all medical history with you. Have your bill of sale.
See if your state has a puppy lemon law.

It is time these people start paying for their actions.

Good luck to you.

Do not let this one bad experience ruin any future chance of having a pet. They give more joy than sorrow.
