I came across JNL Apparel & Beyond on Facebook back in November. I registered on their site, ordered a pair of custom sneakers, paid on the site with my credit card, and received an email confirmation they would be delivered in about a month. A month went by and I heard nothing (though they charged my credit card). I emailed them and got an automated response, and if the inquiry required a response it would be handled withing 48hrs. A few days later, still nothing. I emailed again but received the same generic response. This went on for a week until I found this report and that I'm not alone.

I researched this and found that JNL got it's business license in Kerens Texas on March 20, 2014 with Lanette Stephens as the registered agent. Coincidentally Fan-Addicts Inc got a business license on December 8, 2014 at the same physical, with James Keith Stephens as the registered agent. I guess they took the money, closed JNL and opened Fan Addicts.

As of this evening there is a generic answering service at JNL, their website is down, their Facebook page is gone, and all emails still get an automated response. There is a Facebook page that appears to Fan-Addicts page and I have someone investigating that possibility. Google Maps shows their physical address to be a lakeside residential neighborhood south of Dallas near Ennis TX.

I guess they got me, and by the looks of this page I'm not alone. And the funny part is you just never know what you'll find on the internet and what they may lead to.
