Jodie Pederson Ruined a suprise Christmas for a 4 year old little girl Riverton Wyoming
ON 10-26-08, purchased a horse for my daughters Christmas present from Santa online. As this person was advertising on DreamHorse.Com AND because I could pull up her web site and believed her to be a reputable breeder, I sent a check in the amount of $2,500 which was promptly cashed by Jodie Pederson on 11-3-08.
Jodie Pederson had guaranteed delivery of the mare and all registration and transfers to Cushing Oklahoma on 11-7-08. I had made arrangments to board the mare at a friends house until Christmas morning. The mare never arrived due to "shipping problems". Numerous times we contacted the owner and was given a different delivery date. Finally after strong words between us and the owner, we were once again guaranteed the mare would be here no later than 12-23-08 for Christmas.
On 12-23-08, at apprx 9:00 p.m., we received a call from the person Jodie Pederson had promised would deliver the mare. Dennis Wack just stated he "didn't make the trip and I would need to contact Jodie again. Needless to say, I had already spent our entire budget of my daughters Christmas on this mare from Santa. Our daughter was heartbroken when Christmas morning arrived and Santa had not brought her her very own horse!!
We have repeatedly requested a refund from Jodie Pederson but to no avail. Jodie finally quit answering her phone after telling us she had already spent the money on HER kid's Christmas. In February of 2009, we were forced to hire a attorney to try to recoup our money. A demand letter was sent by the attorney but was ignored. A second demand letter was sent in March 2009, but it also was ignored. In April 2009, we filed charges against Jodie Pederson in Oklahoma City Oklahoma Claims Court and received a May 15, 2009 court date. Upon arrival at court, we were informed Jodie had REFUSED service and we would have to get another court date AFTER having the Sheriff for Riverton Wy serve the papers.
To date we have no contact with Jodie, are out not only the $2,500 originally sent for the purchase, but also apprx $500 more on attorneys and court filings. Jodie Pederson continues to stand a son of Doc's Solano at stud and owns and shows horses all over the Northern United States. It is businesses and people like this that ruin it for everyone. My daughter will never have her 4 year old Christmas back.
