Complaint Review: Jody Dean Shannon

Every year I have gone through months and months of him getting away with paying his child support.


Our child support order requires that he pays a measily $209 per month. This order was made when my son was 3 years old. He is now almost 12, and I still cant get the small amount that is due to my son.


For years he has lied to me telling me about all the attempts he has made to get the child support to me, but he always blames it on the DA's office. He claims they are always losing his checks or his payments.


I have made numerous attempts to contact the San Diego D.A.'s office, and they always tell me they are sending a referral, which will take at least 60 days. Well several years have gone by, and nothing yet. However they have said that his drivers License has been revoked. Great, but my son is still driving with him on the weekends. Alot of good that does.


Oh, and they said the Cosmotology board has been red flagged to take away his licence. Again, alot of good that does, when its only effective during renewal. Isn't renewal every few years???


They did get close a few times, but of course whatever check was given to them bounced immediately. In fact, They have years worth of records of bounced checks made out to them for child support on my son's behalf.


Funny thing, after the DA's office gets a check from Jody, they issue me a check, but instead of going to Jody for the money back when his check bounces, they come to me asking for their check back!!!


Anyway, Im very tired of everyone believing his lies, including his poor EX-wife, who had no idea what he was doing.

Its time people knew about him and what he does to his child.
