Complaint Review: Joe Cipolla

I bought a 1966 GTO on Ebay based on the description from the seller, after asking many questions by phone he had all the right answers and believed I was dealing with a repuable individual. It was ALL false statements, the car was actually in Buxton, Maine and belonged to Cousins Auto Sales and they were not aware it was advertized on Ebay.

Joe Cipolla was to pay for the shipping as it was included in our agreement, never got that either. The car was advertised as a WS code Tri-Power convertible, red with a white top with all matching numbers. After some research i discovered the PHS pictured on the ad was Forged, the trim tag on the cowl had been changed as the car was actually a white car with red interior and a WT code wiith a four barrel carb.  

The engine block where the code is stamped had been ground down, so I don't know what engine is in it but it certainly isn't numbers matching per his claim. After numerous emails and text messages we agreed on a cash settlement and I heard every excuse known why I had not received it over a 30 day period from the 'check is in the mail' to my bank hasn't released the wire, etc, etc...

If you buy a car from this Liar and Thief, google his name and you will see all the complaints filed, be sure to see the car in person prior to paying for it. I learned my lesson the hard way, I hope you don't. I have filed a complaint with the Office of the Illinois Attorney General, called local police and I hope I can have some justice.
