I brought my truck in to get the alignment adjusted. I called in advance to make sure that they could perform this service since my truck is much longer than most. When I got there yesterday, I was told that they would not do the alignment with my current tires. I told them that I didn't want to install the new tires until the alignment was done because I didn't want to wear them prematurely. After some discussion, I agreed to come back after I installed the new tires. Before leaving, I asked if it would be better if I made an appointment, and I was told that an appointment would not be necessary. Mack told me that if I brought my truck in the next morning, he could have me "in and out." Last night I installed the new tires and changed the transmission fluid. I made a mistake while changing the fluid, so that part is on me.

Today, I brought my truck in around 8:45 AM and asked to have my alignment fixed. I told them that I would also like them to look at the mistake I made on the transmission fluid change. Mack told me that it would be about two hours and that he would get my approval to perform any repairs other than the tow in/out on my front alignment. I waited almost two and a half hours with not word from anyone at the dealership. Around 11:45 AM I went back to Mack's station to check on the status of my truck. After asking me for a few minutes while he finished up some orders, he told me that the mechanic looked at my truck and wanted to do $600 worth of repairs (the parts cost less than $75 at Autozone and the task takes about 30 minutes for me to do). I asked how long it would take and he told me that he could probably have it done by the end of the day.

At this point I was visibly upset because the inspection (to find out what repairs they were recommending) should only take about thirty minutes (on a REALLY bad day). I then asked if the alignment was done and asked how much longer it would be to just get the alignment done. Mack told me it would be about another two hours. After I reminded him that I had already been waiting for over two hours, he merely stated that there was nothing he could do about it. At this point, I was too upset to continue speaking in a civil tone, so I told Mack to pull my truck up to the front and I left. At no point was there so much as an apology for making me waste my morning with no work done on my truck.
