On 10/22/02
My wife and I received an e-mail from Mr. Richey informing us of a Fantastic Deal for all wholesalers,
They had received a limited number of the product (as seen on TV.) Revo Styler To be purchased 100 at a time at 16.00 each now reselling for over 40.00 each. The picture sent was of the Revo Styler in a box with instruction manual and video tape.

We called Swap Sell trade to inquire further about this fantastic deal. Mr. Richey informed us that because of the limited number they would only allow us to purchase 100 and we had to send a cashiers check they would not take visa. We could only secure our order once the check was to him.

He also said there are now only 500 left. After this conversation my wife ran to our bank and obtained a cashiers check for 1600.00 which she faxed to Joe Richey. She then Fed Ex'd the check for overnight delivery. We then called Joe to confirm the receipt of the fax. He confirmed this but refused to be clear that we had reserved 100 of these units.

He kept avoiding the issue. Only stating that they would be secure once the check was received. The next morning we prepared our sales strategy and started to download the latest pictures from Swap Sell Trade of the Revo Stylers. We had downloaded a picture last night but wanted more detail. We then called to ask more questions about this item. We were then informed that the units did not come with a video tape or instruction manual. We then asked if they where authentic Revo Stylers. He stated they were. We then asked why the video and manual are missing he said it was they way they received them from the factory and they are real.

We then went to the Swap Sell Trade website to download another picture of the product and the picture had suddenly changed. It now showed just the back of a box with a model stating AS Seen On TV. She was holding just the brush. There is no other mention of the complete product. We then called Joe back to ask why the sudden change? He stated that since we where questioning the product and his integrity he was canceling our order and sending our check back (which he to this date never has returned).

Well the order was canceled but, when I call to ask where my check is, Jim informs me that Joe is out of the office until next week. When I try to ask for someone that handles the accounts payable or receivable Jim informs me that he is not going to listen to my questioning and hangs up on me.

In further researching products being sold on e-bay, there are may consumers and so called wholesalers using Joe Richey as a source for their products. If they only knew how badly they are being ripped off, they would never use Swap sell trade again and be much happier for it. It is my opinion that Joe Richey is passing fakes or look alike products as real or authentic and the only one benefiting from his actions is Joe.
