Saw 4+Stars on Google, but horrible reviews if searched. My customer experience was as follows, and I believe Joe's AV is paying / misappropriating reviews.


1. Order was for $1800, free shipping and a free wall-mount bracket.


2. Once placed, I got a call from Joe's AV, identifying me with my information. The service agent told me that I needed to leave a positive review, with my order number, on TrustCenter, before my order was processed. I did so, not thinking much of it.


3. A few hours after this, I got another call saying they needed to charge me a $50 "white-glove" fee, as the TV was coming from a few states away. Also, a credit card fee of 1.5%, and that I was to receive an HDMI cable ($10 value, approx) instead of a wall mount kit ($50 value, approx). I told them I understood the fees, but the cable was worthless - I wanted the bracket. After some arguing, the service agent obliged. This person implied I was ripping him off, and he was selling below cost.


4. I waited 4 days for tracking information - This never came. I called in again, and after chatting with another very rude sales person, I was told "the TV will be on a truck today", which was the case. I had tracking and a delivery time.


5. Come time for delivery, they showed up in the wrong 8-hour block - I was not home, my neighbor informed me that they came ad left. I called in to make sure they'd be back, and they did come back.


6. The TV arrived without the wall bracket, of course. I was fed up at this point, and rather unhappy with my experience, especially reading tracking and paying for white glove service for a 250-mile delivery, which from most of my suppliers here is "next day", not extended and not nearly "long distance" as I was explained.


7. Calling into Joe's AV to talk about my serious sales-tactics, up-charges and poor customer service experience, I was further berated. While I was finally refunded the majority of my overcharges, seeing more online reviews, I wanted to make my experience known, and attempt to right what I believe is very shady tactics they are pushing.
