Burial Insurance Ripoff: These people write outdated whole life insurance with old mortality tables from 50 years ago to charge you a higher premium that you will have to pay your entire life not matter how long that you live. Dave Ramsey says that this is a ripoff.
Senior Citizen Fraud & Life Insurance Fraud:
John Andy McAfee and his insurance agents will leave off medical information in the health questions area of the life insurance application. They will have the applicant initial each health question before the health information is applied to the application. They do this so that an applicant with health problems can get a policy issued in their underwriting department. The problem is that this is an illegal and deceptive practice. Fraud. Then if the applicant who was issued a policy with the medical information left missing by the agent dies within the 1st two years of the policy then the company, Old American Insurance Company of Kansas City, MO will claim that the applicant/insured lied to the agent about their medical information therefore denying the death claim and the applicant/insured is left with nothing. They have been pulling this scam for 34 years and the company, Old American, is aware of it too. Their former regional vice president, Dennis McCarty, taught the agents how to get away with this Senior Citizen/Insurance Fraud. Don't buy this crappie insurance from Old American and/or John Andy McAfee. Buy term insurance from a reputable company or join a funeral society and plan your arrangements. Even a pre-need trust funeral plan is better than this junk that Old American and John Andy McAfee sells! If you have a burial life insurance policy from these people...open it up and look at the application. If your medical information is missing and they had you initial it then contact an attorney immediately because you have just been ripped off!
