Provo, Utah scam office denies refund!

The rest of the story that was left out of the response from Provo office.

Three days after purchase transaction, password was given over telephone. Two days before 5-day limit for refund. Password was provided to access web site and telephone hotline. Access problem with password resolved with one day remaining for review of materials.

One day to access web site to receive any educational value from program. Next day access to site and phone was blocked due to first inquiry regarding refund. Materials for reference and telephone hotline were not available from day one.

Telephone access service denied. Web site access denied. Refund denied.

The credit card dispute is not lost, but still pending investigation. The BBB investigation is still pending investigation. This firm does not issue any opinions on any value of any company position.

The materials consist of:

1 plastic bag with carrying handle
8 audio CDs
3 reference books
1 3-ring binder Manual

The offer for more telephone mentoring of unusable materials was not acceptable in lieu of a refund. Telephone mentoring is another BS stalling tactic to pacify. It's like learning to swim lessons over the telephone.

The offer of other unusable products was not acceptable. The final offer of paying $199.50 for restocking fee was not acceptable. This arbitrary fee did not appear on the contract receipt. The materials are in complete re-sellable condition as printed on receipt.

Materials are unusable. Telephone service was not provided. Web site was blocked for access. No usage of phone service. No service access of web site.

No alternative but to declare this scam operation from Provo, Utah, bilking consumers for any cash available. Next step will be to seek other legal steps and to warn the public of this type of working at home scams.

It's not a work at home opportunity. The true term should be high priced information without hope of living up to return or refund policy.

Beware of operations working out of Utah. This state may have lax business laws that allow for the vast array of scam operations.

They may change names to avooid build-up of excess complaints. A scam by any other name smells the same!

Without A Doubt A Scam!!

#12Consumer Suggestion

Sat, October 02, 2004

Hey there Tom,

I hope that this rebuttal finds you along with everyone else in good spirits and health.

Great posting! I am really sorry to hear, that you are another victim of one of the MANY scams coming out of Utah. Now although I'm not suggesting, that every business out of Utah are scams, it's very safe to assume the overwhelming majority of them are.

This "Financial Superstars" is a scam no doubt. That's right I said it!! It needs to be said!! Someone has to say it!! And guess what? I never even tried it. The only "Financial Superstars" in this fraudulent company, are the ones in the business selling the bogus "information".

Any and all legitimate businesses, would without a doubt, be willing to come out in the open to lay it all out and would definitely not hesitate to do so.

Any and all legitimate businesses would definitely not allow any amount of complaints to go unacknowledged and unresosolved, especially ones like the many lingering in the public eye.

Fraudulent businesses like "Financial Superstars" and especially the proven fraudulent business John Beck's Mentoring Institute, all conduct business in hiding. The only time their ever seen out in the open, is when they're walking to and from courtrooms.

There is absolutely no such thing as telephone mentoring! I found this out the hard way. Telephone mentoring is just a scam comparable to that of envelope stuffing. Scams like these sound good in theory, and that's what allows them to strive.

There are no "secrets" to real estate investing. Sure there are methods and strategies like any other business, but like any other types of investing, perserverance, money, and trial and error are the only true requirements.

If there truly ever was people with a special "wealth of knowledge", believe me, they would all be doing it themselves and not trying to hawk the "information".

SEMINARS: Don't ever fall victim to the "free seminar" crap. I have attended more than my share of these, and each and everytime I have, had some bogus company attempting to play musical chairs with my wallet.

Seminars are often set up by fraudulent businesses, that would not be successful marketing their crap through traditional media, to lure people into non existant and or fraudulent business ventures.

These "free seminars" often use the lure of a free meal, and an extra long infomercial to give their offer the appearance of legitamacy. These "free seminars" are often conducted in reputable hotel banquet halls, again only to give the general public a false impression of legitimacy. ALL SCAMS!!

I once attended a "free seminar", regarding free government grants, and at the end of the seminar, while everyone started reaching for their wallets and checkbooks, I noticed something very peculiar.

Approximately twenty-thirty people out of maybe two-three hundred or so proceeded to the back of the room. They all began reaching for their wallets and checkbooks. It was like, they all knew what to expect, even before the director had been finished "selling" the scam.

It felt as though, I had attended a robot convention, where everyone had been brainwashed or even programmed. Just when I thought things couldn't have gotten any stranger, I noticed that the vast majority of these robots had been seated in the last three rows of the ENTIRE four section seating arrangement. LOL. SLOL. CSLOL. Shills maybe?

Things To Be Aware Of:

1. Fraudulent businesses often use the claim of being in the business of selling "information".

2. Credit card companies do not protect consumers from what they already know are fraudulent businesses. They'll continue to let charges go through.

3. The Better Business Bureau does absolutely nothing to protect consumers. The Better Business Bureau charges the very businesses that rip you off, a fee to be members of their organization. With this in mind, who are they more likely to protect? The amount of consumers, that need to suffer, before the Better Business Bureau even takes some kind of action is ludacrious. Better Business Bureau memberships mean and or proves absolutely nothing about a business. Simply put, memberships are purchased not earned.

4. Telephone mentoring does not exist, never has, never will. Sure there may be a few, that have been mentored in the past, but I assure you never through telephone conversations. These fairy tale mentoring businesses, are only deceptive invites to obtain your credit card information. Traps!!

5. Never fall for a businesses 3-5 day right to cancel. These guarantees like their fraudulent claims themselves, will not be lived up to. This is yet another lure to get consumers to believe their offer is legitimate.

6. Never agree to anything over the phone, or give out your credit card information. BIG NO NO! Legitimate businesses would definitely be willling to send you a written contract containing all the terms and conditions.

7. Never agree to allow a business to tape record an agreement. BIG NO NO! These tape recorded agreements are part of the lure and trap and will be later be used against you. Refer to #6.

I know that this may be a lot to comprehend, but the truth of the matter is, there are many fraudulent businesses out there, that continue to use "talk" and "bull$h!t" to lure people into their traps.

Understand that there are many other things to consider and be safe from scams and I will definitely be back to post them as they come.

Until next time, take care Tom along with everyone else cause I care, Aloha from Hawaii and God Bless.

P.S. Be sure to spread this information like wildfire. F^ck you Mike Evans, don't think that I have forgotten about my $9.8 million!

Financial Super Stars from Utah

#12Consumer Comment

Fri, October 01, 2004

My recent experience with the Financial Super Stars free seminars was similar to that of Jan, from Louisville, Kentucky.

They had this author, W. Danko (The Millionaire Next Door) as a speaker to lend a note of credibility to their whole "seminar" scam. The speakers all talked about how easy it was to make big money in many safe and quick ways. They talked of huge sums to be made in real estate, internet marketing, asset protection, stock market and tax liens.

The talks simplifed how easy the steps are. They have the promise of immediate cash flow, buying real estate for great sums below the market, easy money in stock market trades, and fantastic returns on government backed certificates.

James Smith was one of the speakers on real estate investing. He sells high priced information. The rest is up to the investor. You will need more than luck to try getting your money back. They will wear you down over the phone and at best only try to sell you something else. If you don't buy into that line of bull, then they will tell you to go ahead and dispute the credit card bill. They seem to have gone through that route many times before.

The number to call in Provo, Utah will be the office of well trained people that won't give a penny in refunds. They will offer other deals that would only make more money for the company.

I'm disputing the credit card bill in hopes of setting the record straight and hope that this bad business practice of scamming money should be well publicized so that other people will avoid the semi-legitimate practices of the Financial Super Stars.

Check out the search tab and look for Financial Super Stars. I will post an update on the action in the near future.

The coach says his name is James Smith. The seminar group is called

Financial Superstars.

It's here in Kentucky and is traveling to Ill.

One of the speakers was W. Danko, who wrote The Millioaire Next Door.It seemed legit with him "representing".

I guess I should close my card before they make a withdrawel? Can I do that?

General Tips.

Hey there Everyone,

I hope that this rebuttal finds you in good spirits and health.

DO NOT participate in any of John Becks programs, until that is, ALL of these complaints are addressed and satisfied to the absolute best of each and every consumer's satisfaction.

Don't believe anything, that any of the employees of this fraudulent company has to say. Their programs are nothing but scams.

The fact that this fraudulent company does not have even one rebuttal, that PROVES any of these reports false, or to the contrary in ANY way, proves that their programs are scams.

Another fact that proves John Beck's programs fraudulent are the many credit card transactions being reversed.

Another fact that proves John Beck's programs fraudulent are the varying amounts of his scam victims investments. This fact proves that his sales staff is really only interested in an individuals available credit.

Another fact that proves John Beck's programs fraudulent are the numerous attempts to have the charges on my credit card reversed in their favor. This fraudulent company literally begged my credit card company to reverse the charges.

The fraudulent John Beck Mentoring Institute had the f%ck!ng audacity to request, that the charges be reversed in their favor, all while proving absolutely no reason for doing so.

The fraudulent John Beck Mentoring Institute furnished a letter emphasizing my agreement to enroll.

I have not once denied enrolling into the fraudulent John Beck Mentoring Program, so for this fraudulent company to even attempt to submit such a stupid request, proves their desparate attempt to extort money.

WARNING: The fraudulent John Beck programs take on many forms of advertising.

1. Fruadulent Infomercial/deceptive advertising.

2. Website "guarantees results". Seminar is just an event to attempt to sell people on a workshop. Don't ever fall attend "seminars".

Seminars, especially free seminars, are intended to sell products and or services. In John Beck's case, a fraudulent product and service.

Consider any seminar, where many people open their wallets a scam. If you ever find yourself at a seminar opening your wallet, you have been "SOLD" on an opportunity.

Legitimate opportunities sell themselves. Worthless opportunities and fraudulent businesses like John Beck's, resort to advertising and often need to impose their garbage onto the general public via Infomercial and websites.

Have you noticed that John Beck's "Mentoring" program has no professional website?

After a mass of complaints and reports are accumulated against fraudulent businesses like John Beck's, they often hide behind such bone headed statements like "we're in the business of selling information". More like scamming business!

Anyways, to make a long rebuttal short, there's a good reason why no individual from any of John Beck's fraudulent companies, are willing to come forward to post rebuttals on his company's behalf.

It would simple put his fraudulent entity deeper into the scam realm, and would totally be a waste of time and they know it.

Are there any legitimate "mentoring"/"coaching" services you ask? LOL. The answer to this question is very few if any. Again, legitimate programs DO NOT advertise in magazines, Infomercials, newspapers, mail order, etc, etc.

These are all legal forms of advertising, however, the problem lies in exagerated claims, fine print, deceptive trade, loopholes in laws, endorsements, that mean absolutely nothing like the Better Business Bureau, and several other variables, that most fraudulent business capitalize on.

A businesses reputation speaks for itself, therefore, legitimate "mentoring" businesses, would NEVER need to go out and seek mentorees.

Public school systems and most major universities endorse, but rarely ever advertise. Reputation!! NOTICE: DO NOT confuse scouting with advertising. They are not the same.

Sure, there may be a few legitimate "mentoring" services out there, however, none of them have the ability to make you the kind of sucess story, they often so ridiculously claim they can, for if they could, no one would have the desire, or the time to coach others to do the same.

A company would also have an awefully difficult time finding people to sell their $h!t, when he or she could be out "making money" themeselves. LOL.

3. Never agree to a tape recorded contract. Legitimate businesses would definitely be more interested in sending a written contract to someones home, containing all the terms and conditions of the agreement.

Legitimate businesses would also be willing to wait a few weeks for someone to make a sound decision, while a valid, legal and enforceable contract is under way.

4. Never be intimidated by any threats made by a fraudulent company. It could only benefit you, while you use it to your advantage.

Until next time, take care cause I care, Aloha from Hawaii and God Bless.

#12Consumer Suggestion

Fri, September 17, 2004

Hey there Suzette,

I hope that this rebuttal finds you in good spirits and health.

The John Beck Free and Clear program along with his fraudulent mentoring program, are without a doubt scams. Not just an opinion, but fact!

The Free and Clear program is just a compilation of colorful toilet paper, that enables the fraudulent "Mentors Of America" (or whatever the f%ck these genetic imbreeds are calling themselves today) to compile and maintain a fresh list of prospects to possibly enroll into their fraudulent/non existant mentoring program.

If you've already ordered the program, DO NOT dial the toll free number provided in the welcome letter. The toll free number is just a trap. The enormous differences in enrollment fees is just one of many indications of the scam.

Upon contacting this fraudulent company, a "product of incest" will ask you a series of questions mostly pertaining to your credit. He or she is really only interested in a persons line of credit, but most importantly available credit.

The fraudulent John Beck program supossedly uses "non refundable containers" as traps in attempt to legally extort money. F%ck that $h!t! They weren't about to get my money. No matter what!

The worst possible thing, that this fraud incident could have done to me, was ruin my credit, which would definitely have pi$$ed me off more. The fraudulent John Beck Mentoring Institute was not about to receive one cent from me.

Now that credit card disputes are being won left and right by consumers, It's interesting to observe just how long credit card companies will participate in the aiding and abetting of this fraudulent mentoring nonsense.

When will credit card companies finally stop allowing fraudulent businesses to accept credit cards? How many more people need to be scammed by this fraudulent company, before someone strips this fraudulent company of the opportunity to rip people off?

I can't wait until the rip-off report finally gets the class action lawsuit link up and running. It will be fun and interesting to see exactly how many lawsuits this fraudulent business is able to withstand.

From the looks of it and judging by the way they so freely lose disputes, it doesn't seem all that difficult to break down the artificial wall they've built themselves. Thank you very much to Ed along with his hard working staff, for keeping this website alive and well.

Also, thank you for sheding much needed light on the absolute truth and for standing up for the little guy. The day will inevidibly come when we are finally able to start class action lawsuits big enough to crush fraudulent businesses and when this day comes, I believe the creator and editor of this site is entitled to part of the proceeds.

In addition to the class action link, I would also like to suggest a link to all businesses and or business owners, that are opposed to, or for some very odd reason finds consumer advocacy sites a threat to their business or reputation... and if so, exactly why they find truth so threatening?

Until next time, take care everyone, Aloha from Hawaii and God Bless.
