Liposuction is not for everyone and may not work for everyone. Even in majority of cases the fat comes back within a year.  Also, how long did you wait after your procedure to report this?

Your new body shape will begin to emerge in the first couple of weeks. Improvement will be more visible 4 to 6 weeks after surgery. By exercising regularly and eating a healthy diet, you can help maintain your new shape.

For readers that are not familiar with Liposuction, they should also know that you will likely have swelling, bruising, numbness, and pain, but it can be managed with medications. The stitches will be removed in 5 to 10 days. Antibiotics may be prescribed to prevent infection.

You may feel sensations such as numbness or tingling, as well as pain, for weeks after the surgery. Walk as soon as possible after surgery to help prevent blood clots from forming in your legs. Avoid more strenuous exercise for about a month after the surgery.

You will start to feel better after about 1 or 2 weeks following liposuction surgery. You may return to work within a few days of the surgery. Bruising and swelling usually go away within three weeks; however, you may still have some swelling several months later.

Your surgeon may call you from time to time to check on your health and to monitor your healing. A follow-up visit with the surgeon will be required.

You are right. He is not a plastic surgeon or dermatologist. If you do a background check you will see he is a family physician.  So I am not sure what you expected.  It looks like all his background and training was in family medicine and he somehow also took on and went into cosmetic surgery.  So next time do your research.   In general, the medical training that provides the most training in cosmetics are plastic surgery and dermatology.  A family doctor is trained to do a little of everything from ear aches to giving birth to babies.  It is very different.  Kind of like a BMW mechanic and a Ford mechanic, sure they both fix cars but they are very different areas. OR its like a plumber and electrician, both can work on your house.

I know this may sound silly but iI do have a couple of questions. 1. Isnt Lipo supposed to be used in conjunction with diet AND exercize? 2. If he did the procedure, its not a "magic fix" for fat. Your current diet and stress levels tend to control that. 3. As even now medical science isnt perfect. Somethings work somethings dont. If the first procedure didnt work, then there might be underlying issues. A different procedure does sound in order.
