John Buroe The Gutter Man, Gutter Cleaning, Snow removal, Painter, take first 50% of payment for installing new gutter, then cheated for second half payment, then nothing done and no refund. Chicago, Illinois
John Buroe(312)437 2030 did advertisement in Craigslist.org for gutter repair, he gave a proposal and took first half of the payment, come to me ask for second half with bullshit lies, and took the full payment. And never done the job, and even tried to rip me more about 1500 for repairing one step concrete stair, once he could not get more money from me and no answering call, no returning calls, no refunds.
He posts ad. on craigslist.org every day, for painting, gutter, snow removal, decoration etc.

He agreed to a slab(one step stair) and a tuckpoint on chimney together with gutter, written in contract, he took the first half the payment as down payment, after several calls and excuses, he came to me one morning, cheated for the second half(saying subcontracting blah blah, he knows I am busy in the morning and have no time to watch him or talk to him), he came to me without a helper or tool, he used my shovel to break the step(slab), and left the site, and told us the whole porch stair would fall because no support, and asking for another $1500 to repair it(later I found a guy do the job for $200), and of course the stairs have no problem and he did agree with me later on.
Since then, I called him many time to leave message, and threatened to file law suite, one day he said he would mail me a check for full refund, and we all know that is a lie.
He is using wrong address, and very likely changed phone number tricking on craigslist or somewhere else.

#3REBUTTAL Owner of company

I am the owner of this company and I dispute the alleagations in this report. The owner of this property hired us for to rplace a gutter, he then asked us to tuctpoint the house and replace a cement slab. we agrred to additional costs of $1500.00. Work was started on the cement. After work was already started I received a call from the property owner stating he couldnt afford the cost for the additional work after work had commenced. This was costly for my company as materials were purchased and labor was performed. The money that my company received from this property owner did not cover the amount of labor and materials that went into the job. Therefore their was no monies refunded. A
