Complaint Review: John rand petrie active Real Estate Agent

I am the most honest and reputable Businessman and Realtor/Broker you will ever find. I have devoted my life to helping people and families live well and be successful by providing the best Real Estate Properties and Services Possible. This one time, I made the unfortunate decision to report a bad experience I had with CRE Analytics, on this site using my real name. I did so because I am not one to hide my identity. I stand 100% behind everything I do and said. I am a man of my word, and I have never done anything to harm or hurt any reputable business.

In my 26 years of Real Estate and Construction business experiences, I have never once had an un-resolved complaint, nor have I ever been sued for any reason.

With CRE Analytics, I had tried for several months to reach an agreement for the re-payment of the advance fee for services that were never delivered. Unfortunately, at some point Renae refused to refund any of the money she owed to me, so I had no choice but to file a small claims action against her. This was settled in my favor in the full amount I sought. (See Judgement in my favor attached)

When she became aware of my report against her on this Rip Off Report website, she promptly filed a malicious counter claim against me "San Diego Realtor Rand Petrie is out to destroy San Diego businesses" This is obviously not true, but Her implication was that my filing of the report on this website was ruining her business. She went on to send me several other threatening e-mails.

Please keep in mind that she was never my client, I never worked for her and she never purchased anything form me nor did I do anything for her or give her any business advice whatsoever. Her claim against me is totally false and baseless.

I am a top Realtor here in San Diego CA. I own and manage numerous properties in Southern California. A few of them I thought might qualify for the HARP program so I hired a company called CRE Analytics to help me prepare and submit several Loan Modification Requests. Renae Simpson Van d**e, who is the principle and owner of that company then collected $4,200 from me in advance for doing said work. A month later she was dismissed by me when she failed to complete the work to my satisfaction. After first agreeing to return my money she later refused and would not even return a portion of it when I agreed to accept less than she was paid. Eventually, and out of frustration, I filed a report here on this site and sued her in small claims court. I easily won a judgement against her for the full amount requested, $4,200 plus cost of $100.00. See attached Judgement.

I am the victim here. I am a consumer trying to help others by filing a truthful report about a bad business. In return I got my own good name dragged through the mud. My reputation is very important to me. I have never had an un-satisfied customer nor have I ever had a complaint filed against me in 25 years of doing business as a Realtor or General Contractor!

My only offense is that I had the unfortunate experience of hiring CRE to do some work for me and paid them in advance. FYI, we have since made amends and I have allowed them to try and work off some of the debt but they still have not returned any of the money they owe me.

Rip Off Report
 
Dear Sirs:
 
                This letter is my intent to retract comments made with regard to John Rand Petrie.  Mr. Petrie and I have resolved our dispute.  It was simply a misunderstanding over both partys  good intentions.
 
                I believe it is the policy of Rip Off Report to not remove such complaints, however, I would like to request that the matter be removed or please let me know how I can go about removing the comments based on your repair program.
