Complaint Review: John Robert Powers AKA JRP

John Robert Powers Academy riped me off big time. I paid them $2,450.00 on my credit card for acting classes which i found out wasnt nessasary, according to the contract i had 72 hours to cancel my contract. Within the 72 hours i did go into there office and borrow a paper and pen from a representative and wrote out my cancelation letter. gave them the original and had the representative make me a copy.

Lance told me i wasnt entitled to a refund because I didnt make the 72hour deadline. I clearly explained to him that i did make the deadline and I have it in writing and so does your company. Therefore "I get a my refund".

For four months I left messages, I talked to 3 different representatives Lance/and Ria, all told me the other one was in charge of refunds.

Out of frustration I called the San Deigo JRP franchise and the owner aggreed that what was going on, was wrong and gave me the number to the main head quarters in Beverly Hils, it was this franchise that I was able to get the number to the lawer over all the JRP franchises. I told the lawyer Mr. Mclaun the situtuation and he mailed a letter to JRP VENTURA demanding they refund my money within 10 days and they have failed to act on the warning.

After 10 phone calls and a 30 min wait on the phone the owner Nia finally came on the phone and began to get loud and rude with me when I was camly explaining my contract and requested my refund. during the conversation she lyed to me and yelled and told me to take her to court because "she don't owe me anything".!!
