My Husband heared on a local radio station in Charlotte North Carolina that children between the age of 4 years old to 17 years have a chance to be on the Hannha Montanna show. They must call for audtion to see if they are picked to be on the show. I called for my 9 year old granddaughter she was so excied and I was too. My husband and I took her to an aduition on Saturday at the John Robert Powers Studio on Penman Street, Charlotte, NC.
When we arrived we were given paper work to fill out on our child and why she wanted to be in the movies or do modeling. My granddaughter did a 20 second commerical on Pop Tarts and we were told to call back on Sunday at 10:30 to see if she was picked or not. They also were taking pictures of these children and wanted the parents to leave two pictures of your child with them to keep.I called back and was told I needed to pay them $2,900 up front with a credit card or check before they could work with my child and get her ready to meet clients in the entertainment industry. I couldn't afford it, so I ask if I could make payments for the training I was told no that they needed the money up front. I didn't take my child back I told them no. I then checked the internet and found out that John Robert Powers was a scam.
