Complaint Review: John Towers Financial Services

John Towers Financial Services Rep. Carol and others at this company made promises we would have a modification done within a month or two until they recieved the money, then they would laugh each time we called. Corona, California

We had been waiting about a year from Bank of America on a modification and still BofA would tell us just to hang in there. We were three payments behind and always three payments behind. We were just worried that BofA would creep up behind us and say, "Sorry but we must foreclose", and we were scared.


John Towers finacial Services like many others were constantly calling us and sending post cards in the mail. We were told by the John Towers company that they were different than all the other companies in that they had attornies on staff and that they had a foot in the door of Bank of America. The rep I had been working with would continue to tell me how the law states that they can't just take money from us and not get you what we agree to do for you.


This took a month of communication and looking into the backround John Towers Fi. before we decided to believe they really had their best interest in us or our situation. They asked for a down payment of $700.00, we gave it and two weeks went by and I had to call. Carol, the rep of John Towers said that they could go no further untill they received $1000.00. We were hurting at this point, but we understood. I explicitly asked when would we know anything and Carol said, September 13th 2010. I was so pkleased to hear her positive voice.


On the 13th day of September my wife and I called and Carol was not in, so I spoke with a person calling himself Jack, Jack said to call back in a couple of hours and they will have word from BofA. We were so happy. My wife and I called back and Jack answered, usually there is a type of a switchboard, but Jack says, "how can I help? I explained who I was and he says, "why don't you stop calling you are a pain in the a*s and hung up on me. I was so scared and angry at the same time.


I called back and asked for Carol and she was in. I explained to Carol what Jack had said and she said they don't have a Jack that works there. I said come on Carol, please we don't have that kind of money just to throw away, Carol then says it was probably the janitor that answered and then I heard laughin in the backround and knew, we were taken. Carol would cover the phone and tell the people in the backround to be quiet. Then I told Carol I'm going to have to get to the bottom of all this and that I feel like a fool. Carol then says, If I call anyone they will make it so no one helps me.


I did get many calls that next day saying things like, there was a plumbing leak in the building and it is possible he answered the phone and then more laughing in the backround. We are so hurt.
