John Whitford Communications Buyer Beware! Company's Fees are a Rip-Off! Atascadero, California
I called John Whitford to inquire about satellite services at my new home. He quoted me $300 for the install, $50 second story fee, and $75 to connect my wireless router. When I asked him about promotions he took $150 off the install fee, but the other fees remained. He called me relentlessly to get me to sign-up. Now I know why.
When I called the satellite company directly, they offered me their standard rate of $150, no second story fee, and no charge to hook up my router. Even the satellite company representative laughed at those other fees, and assured me that installation was free of charge. And, I am happy to report that the installation was indeed completely free!
Do yourself a favor. Avoid John Whitford Communications.

Thank you for your comments. I remember your calls I received personally and remember well the outcome of those calls. I refused to do business with you because of your expectations and advised you to seek service elsewhere.
I as always explained to you our basic install rate of $125.00 and advised you of any extra fees upfront. You asked about getting a router and having it installed I quoted you $150. This included a router and router installation. A basic installation includes one computer setup connected directly to the modem. In your case you wanted a router and two computers connected, this is not a basic install.
You mentioned you had another company install the system they charged you $150 why? A basic install is only $125 the national promotional price. Looks like maybe you were ripped off by them!
I am not sure how you feel ripped off since we did not do business together. Your anonymous person statements are false and misleading madam. You are upset Im sure because I refused to service you and asked you to go elsewhere. I only do business with people when it feels right and doing business with you did not.
The last thing my company does is rip off clients. We always state up front any charges or possible extras. This is why we ask so many questions upfront to avoid any unexpected charges or confusion. Over 20 years of business and the top central coast dealer we must be doing something right.
