Complaint Review: Johnathan Dennis Baker - Jon - Jonathan

Please help FIND / REPORT the whereabouts of Johnathan Dennis Baker aka Jon Baker aka "Jonathan" Baker (born April 1st, 1971 - Cold Lake Alberta - adopted at age 2). He hasn't seen his child in 7 years and owes over 27K in back child support. A MISSING Dead Beat Dad! This is our last resort!!!

He is 5'10", blonde with receeding hairline, likely shaved bald, blue eyes. No known tattoos. His weight flucuates greatly but he is usually on the heavier side. He was a smoker and may continue to be. Was a habitual drug user and alcoholic.

May be found in British Columbia/Western Canada or California USA. Mostly likely Calgary Alberta.

As of February 2004 he owes 27K in child support payments. He has literally disappeared off the face of the earth!! The Maintenance agreement / Court order has been registered under the Maintenance Enforcement Program (MEP) through the Alberta government since 1994. In their attempts to arrange payments with him, his Alberta driver's license has been suspended. He has a Federal garnishee on his income and taxes. He hasn't made a voluntary payment in 3 years and THAT was just the one payment in an attempt to avoid having his license suspended. He hasn't filed a tax return in 3-4 years. Since the suspension and garnishee, their team of investigators have lost the trail on him for 2+ years now. They are attempting to locate him to serve him a court order to appear in front of a judge to explain why he has not been paying child support. If they can't find him they cannot serve him a subpeona! The situation is at a dead-end!

The government agency MEP believes his family and friends are ACTIVELY hiding him. His parents Gary and Carole live in Millerville just west of Turner Valley on a hectacre with animals. His oldest sister Carrie is/was married to a Mr. Bean out of California, works in the rodeo circuit, and they have a child. His older sister Christy is/was a former model, divorced and remarried, last known living in Saskatchwan.

We have been stone-walled when asking his friends about his wherebouts. They are unwilling to report where he might be found. They do report though that he seems to be happy and healthy, living in the Southwest part of Calgary Alberta Canada.

His friends have reported sightings of him throughout the city of Calgary. Last known sighting was in October of 2002. He has a history of alcoholism, drug abuse and violent / suicidal tendencies. He had/has a collection of fire-arms, small caliper hand guns. He has been financially supported through the government via Mental Health services though it is unclear if he is still on the program or not now. It is very likely he can be seen in the punk/skin head/goth/industrial music clubs and/or British pubs within Calgary, perhaps even working as a bouncer (he has worked as a bouncer before at the Warehouse in 1991) or in some other capacity as staff. He has worked "under-the-table" for cousins/family who live on farms in rural Alberta, working as a farm-hand. He has worked for AGT (now known as Telus) as an in-store sales-rep. He may also be found working with computers as a security consultant or programmer or technical writer.

Though there were some fears he might have passed on/died, the latest reports show that he is very much alive and well. Last known address was in Bankview in 1996-1997, going to the University of Calgary.

The payments per month were only a pittance ($300/month)! They have never been increased or added to by any other court order. He has expressed a very REAL resentment in having to pay child support. He has twisted words around in order to get out of seeing his child (imho) lying about what was said and not said. When forced to reckon with his responsibilities he attempted to commit suicide and that had scared his family into never forcing the issue ever again (imho).

His child is brilliant, smart, loving, kind, generous, very clever, articulate, creative, a wonderful soul! Very good looking and has a wicked sense of humour. Has a very real darkness within however. Unfortunately growing up without a father has taken its toll!

This is our last resort!

Please help us find Jonathan (Dennis) Baker!
