My wife was stranded at the corner of Thorndale and York with a dead battery, Found Johnnys towing on the internet advertising 65.00 tow. We needed a tow for 2 miles from the location. Our car is a small Subaru Forester. After we arrived we were told the price for a 2 mile tow would be 295.00!!!! 2 miles! I kid you not.
I could understand a hundred bux or so, for 2 miles, But seriously? Nearly 300 bux for a 2 mile tow? I have had my work trucks towed 3 times as far for half the cost - and we are talking fully loaded service vehicles.
Clearly, this is outright price gouging - and all this after advertising 65.00.
