Saturday June 18,2016, 8:54pm. I called Johnnys Towing after I found their mobile ad on my phone. Their ad states the starting rates our $65 for hook up and $5 a mile to tow. I had called two other places Heart Break towing and Chobars niether one was able to get me for a couple of hours. So I called Johnnys. I was originally told 20 to 30 minutes before someone can get to me. At 10:03 I called again and was assured someone was on the way sorry for the delay 10:31 pm called again they said they would have the drive call me directly. 10:56pm called once again because the driver did not call yet. 10:58 pm recieved a call from the driver that said he had just unhooked in Lombard and is on his way. 11:48 pm tow truck arrived had me sign a blank work order and hooked my car up. We drove less then one mile and when we got to my house to unhook I was told my bill was $295 dollars!! I was charged $195 for the hook up and $100 for for a 20 mile tow I was told by the driver that he had to charge me for inbound miles. I called dispatch 11:59 pm to tell them that I was not paying $295 for a one mile toll Dispatch told the driver to only charge for 1 mile. The bill now was at $200. I went to pay with my debit card and the driver told me that their system was updating and I would have to pay cash. Now its 12:13 am in the morning, my car still hooked to his truck with my garage wide open. I had to go in wake up my wife so she could stay outside with my stuff in the garage while I ran to go to an atm machine at 12:15 am!. I got the cash still not happy with the cost but also to tired to fight about. I paid him and waited to Monday to call the main office. When I called the main office I was dismissed rather quickly given some poor excuse of this is our policies and we don't control are own mobile ads. I was told I should of asked if the price they quote online is the real price. The ad is directly hooked with Johnnys Towing on a mobile device. They put out this phishing scheme and prey on people that are already in distress. While talking to the manager John at 9:48 am Monday about my service he told me I have full coverage insurance so they will pay for the towing. Then he started getting rude and we got into a yelling match. We both were swearing at each other and he threaten me saying that he was going to keep on calling my phone until I listen to him. ******, **** head, ******, *** **** and dumb **** were just some names he used. He called me three times in a row and started each call but one with ready jag off to listen to me? So between the phishing price scam, getting sworn at and the cash only payment I would like to file a complaint
