Johnson Mark LLC are LIARS, "Says one thing and changes their tune between documents and phone calls". They sent me legal documents to sign stating that if I make my payments on time they would not put a lien on my home, so of course I never missed a payment, then the next thing I know I have a lien mailed to me. Then I called and they said after my last payment that all I had to do was call back a week later and they would remove the lien, Meridian Idaho
therefore, I called back 2 weeks after my last payment and now they are saying that it could take 30-45 days to get it off and that they didn't even put the lien on my house. Well that's a bald face lie when I'm looking at the lien paper and it states that their client "Portfolio Recovery Associates, LLC did put the lien on my house and either way, when I called to inquire about it, rather than lying to me about the "call back in a week garbage and it will be removed", why didn't they tell me then about the 30-45 days to get off. Quite frankly I'm beginning to worry if there are more lies waiting to be thrown at me for being honest, cooperative and never missing a payment with this sludge of a lying law firm!
Well in the title is says it all. This law firm Johnson Mark, LLC who was representing Portfolio Recovery Associates, LLC sent me legal documents to sign stating that if I make my payments on time I would not have a lien placed on my home. Of course as a struggling single parent with myself as the sole income for my children I don't want anything to happen to our home so I make sure to never miss a payment and the next thing I know I have a lien placed against my house. So I called and spoke with an employee there and she informed me that I simply misread the papers I signd,and that they were putting a lien on whether I made the payments on time or not (gee thanks since I can't afford an attorney to dispute you evil jerks). But, she did say that I could call back in one week after I made my last payment and they would remove the lien. Ok I'm thinking this is do-able, I'll just make my payments and do what she has instructed me to do.
I called back at a later date to discuss my account with her and found she is no longer with the firm; whatever, I don't think anything about it, I only have one more payment to make. So I make my last payment, wait two-2 weeks and call to get the lien off my house. Now here's where I get lied to again, "I'm sorry it can take up to 30-45 days to remove the lien. And that's after we send the courts some" other paper work I don't remember what he called it other than 'read between the lines they lied again' and quite frankly I am getting worried that it will take me clawing my way out of debt and hiring my own attorney to get the dam lien off my house; which won't happen at least for another 3-4 years from now with the economy.
I encourage anybody who deals with these people to get an attorney BEFORE, you sign anything and DO NOT COOPERATE with them! They are liars and will say and do whatever it takes to make the collection even if you are 100% cooperative and make all your payments on time. You cannot win with these people, and don't be fooled with their fancy attorney law firm title to back them; they are the same as any other sludge collection agency. "Whatever it takes to make your life hell to include: lying, falsifying information (verbally and documentationally), calling numerative times at all hours, and even to place your families home under fire."
