I was contacted by Sabrina Hale(hay) after posting my music on reverbnation, and she told me I should contact her and her business partner who is her husband Jonathan Hay. Sabrina told me that Jonathan Hay loved my music and he said that I had the ability to be the next big star like their client, (((REDACTED))).
Now I am a male singer, but of course I was excited. I googled Jonathan Hay and I saw tons of great things about him online. I contacted him and spoke to him on the phone. He sent me a contract to my email and said that after payment he would get me all sorts of things including distribution with Capital Records with Hoopla Records. He said my song was great and Sabrina was going to do the artwork for me for an extra $300 which was cheap because she normally charges $1500.00.
I had to pay him $5000.00 dollars. I deposited money to his Bank of America account and I waited. Nothing happened. Jonathan never emailed me back, and he sent me one text message that said he was 'setting things up."
When I looked into Jonathan Hay deeper, I saw that everything written by him online was written by him on websites that he owns or writes for like DubCnn which he goes by Tom Moon.
He also claims to be a 'hollywood publicist,' but he never lived in Los Angeles he only went there and got a PO box, he has no residence ever listed there and he runs his whole publicity firm with his wife Sabrina out of an apartment in Louisville, Kentucky. He has no office, no connections, and he is 100% a con man.
It turns out that every one this guy has worked with or allegedly worked with he has messed them over or screwed them out of money.
This is a very sad ordeal since I trusted Sabrina when we talked, and I felt like Jonathan was really into my music.
Artists that are starting out need help and advice not con artists looking to take money from them.
