On Saturday, June 27, 2008, my family and friends went to Bullhead City, Arizona for a mini weekend vacation. We unfortunately were solicited by Waterdogs Seadoo Rentals, and were ripped off by the owner, Joe Guerrero, and their accomplices at the 100% Hand Car Wash at 1770 Hwy 95. My friends and I went into the Car Wash to rent 2 Seadoos. That was the first red flag. Waterdogs runs his slimy business behind the guise of another business, which is the 100% Hand Car Wash. We didn't think anything of this however, and proceeded to do business with Mr. Guerrero. He pulled out two contracts and explained his prices for rentals. My friends put their credit card information on one contract, and we put ours down on a separate contract. All of a sudden, out of nowhere, he asks us if we would like to pay cash at the end of the day instead of putting a deposit down. This was red flag #2. We thought that was odd, but decided to agree to this and rent the Seadoos. He immediately rushed us outside and proceeded to hook-up his trailer to pull the Seadoos to the gas station to fill them up with gas, and told us he would meet us at the lake. About 2 hours into our day, the Blue Seadoo gas indicator was beeping, which meant it was almost out of gas. We proceeded to call Mr. Guerrero about the gas. He comes back to the lake and takes the Blue Seadoo for about 40 minutes, by himself to fill it up with gas. He then brings it back to us. Red Flag #3. At the end of the day, at about 6:00 p.m., we call Joe to come get the Seadoos, as we were done. He comes and hooks up both Seadoos to his trailer, and immediately points out a crack in the Blue Seadoo...the one he took, by himself, to fill-up with gas, which was supposed to be filled with gas at the beginning of the trip. When we go back to the Car Wash property, he proceeded to tell us that we ruined the Seadoo, because we cracked it, and he has to replace the impellar. He said this would cost us $2500 to replace and repair it. After I questioned his professional ethics, and after all the red flags came together, I suddenly realized we had been ripped off. Because we did not put down a Security Deposit at the beginning of the rental, we were going to be responsible for any amount that this slime-ball quoted us. The crack and any other damages on the Blue Seadoo had obviously been there before, but because we did not do a walk-through prior to renting the Seadoos, we were not able to prove that we did not damage the Seadoos, as far as he was concerned. DO NOT RENT SEADOOS FROM WATERDOGS!!!!!!!!!!!PLEASE BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you happen to read this report, and have been ripped-off by Joe Guerrero, please contact Detective Betts of the Bullhead City Police Department, or Officer Solaro of the Bullhead City Code Enforcement.
