"Jose" claimed to have made several repairs on my maxima that turned out to be "rigged" and/or "makeshift" repairs. My radiator had a hole, I attempted to patch it with JBweld (excellent product) the hole was too big. he said he had a radiator at his shop and would sell it to me for a reasonable price, plus labor was equivilent to what I would pay if I would have bought one from the junk yard and did it myself. And I would have been better off if I did. I started having trouble with my radiator this month. when I looked under the hood, low and behold, there's the JBweld patch I applied before he "replaced" the radiator..

Also he spent weeks repairing my a/c system. I gave him over $300.00 to replace the compressor, seals, and humidifier, and charge the system. The a/c still does not work. He supposedly replaced a wheel bearing that started screeching again and needs to be replaced. Almost all of the many "repairs" he made during the past year are falling apart just in time for him to skip town.

I gave him $700 as a 50% down payment to replace the engine in my infinity. He pulled the engine, told me he was moving and would be "between places" for two weeks. We agreed that the car and the engine would be towed to my house and when he got into his new place he would come back for the car and finish the job.

The tow truck came with my car, but no engine. When I checked at the forwarding address he gave me, there was a mechanic named Jose there, but it wasn't the guy that just ripped me off!!!!!!

I am awaiting a heart transplant and depend on my car for weekly, out of town doctor visits. Also I need a/c to survive in the extreme Florida heat wih my health conditions and can not tolerate, even short trips, on a sunny day. My finances are really tight with my health situation and I'm currently struggling to make it to my manditory clinic visits. I really feel like I've been taken advantage of and ripped off!!!!

Yah this is a sad situation. Let this be a lesson for you though. When something seems to good to be true it IS. There is no way in hell your going to get a compressor installed plus evac and recharge the system for 300 dollars. Maybe reseal the compressor and pump some freon but thats it. An engine for 700 on a nissan??? no way is that ever gonna happen. I know nobody wants to hear this but you pay for what you get
