He makes $80,000 + and REFUSES to buy his two daughters winter coats. They walk to and from school in 30 degree weather wearing a sweat shirt.
Last year our oldest daughter wore her step-mothers old coat that was torn. He is too CHEAP to buy them new coats; which he can afford. He makes 5x more money than I do!
I pay for all schooling costs and all school supplies, which is around $300. He refuses to help and would have them go to school with nothing...just as he is now. Letting them go to school with NO coat.
What kind of a Father is so ignorant that he will not buy his own children winter coats, which they desperately need? But he has money to buy a new car, money to buy a bigger house, money to buy himself new clothes and a new coat, money to travel on vacations. BUT...he has no money to buy his own children coats?
That is a Father that DOES NOT LOVE his children!

Hey Kim, I'll tell you the same thing I told my ex's attorney during our court hearing. What goes around comes around and one day you will have your own child and guess what? You WILL face the same consequences other single mothers have with dead beat ex's. How do I know? Tonight is the full moon, just right for spellcasting. P.S. I think you need a new boyfriend too. You sure have some repressed anger about him paying child support. I sure would hope someone doesn't treat your children that way someday.

I would love to know if you get child support and if not take his butt to court - if he makes $80k per year then you could get a pretty good size support check every month and if you get it and its not a lot because he used to make less you can always go back to court and petition for more and they will review his new finances and 99% of the time you will get more. I know exactly how you feel because I am in the same situation but I have never received a dime and always had to do everything on my own and you have to realize that your pride is not as important as your children and their well being. They definitely do not deserve to freeze when they have 2 parents that work. There are always organizations out there that can help you and if you don't know where to look call your county or city offices and they can refer you. You are going to have to break down and get them a coat to wear otherwise you are just as bad as he is because you are not putting them first either. If he does not pay CS then stop the visitations until he complies and if there is no court order then nothing can be done to you legally either. If he decides to take you to court for visitation then he has opened the door for you to get financial help. If you can't afford an attorney there are legal aid places that will help or can refer to you someone else who can help you for free or next to nothing. Make him step up to the plate and take some responsibility but do it the right way and don't make your children suffer for his mistakes. They are only little once and you will so regret it later.

MY RESPONSE IS THIS. IF YOU ARE IN NEED FOR WINTER COATS FOR YOUR CHILDREN, YOU CAN GO TO YOUR LOCAL DEPT. OF SOCIAL SERVICES AND TELL THEM YOU DON'T HAVE A COAT, YOU WILL GET ONE!
IF YOU NEED COATS CLOTHES OR SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR THE KIDS, GO TO THEIR SCHOOL PRINCIPAL, THE SCHOOL DISTRICTS HAVE FUNDS AVAILABLE FOR THE ONES IN NEED. THERE IS NO REASON ANYONE IN THIS COUNTRY HAS TO BE COLD OR HUNGRY.

Are you getting any child support? How much if any are you getting?
Since he appears to be a big loser, you need to step up to the plate and get a better job, work some overtime. You can buy a decent winter coat at Ross, or Target for $30. You did not say what you are getting for CS if any, but if you are like my boyfriends ex wife who uses the child support to pay for a house she cannot afford, and then complains when there isn't much left over, then she gets no sympathy.
