On March 3, 2005, we assigned a past due account to Joseph, Steven & Associates in the amount of $1,725.50. We had never heard from them again until the week of February 19, 2007 after receiving a call soliciting more collection business. Upon notifing the Joseph, Steven & Associates representative that we had an outstanding account they at various times disconnected, placed us on indefinite hold or plead ignorance when we could not come up with their account number which we were never given.

On March 15, 2007 the customer that was assigned to Joseph, Steven & Associates came into my office. She showed me a returned envelope marked "Undeliverable" which contained a payment. The ex-client told me that she has been making payments of $100.00 per month since April 2005. This is approximately $2,400.00 allegedly received by Joseph, Steven & Associates has received on a $1,725.50 account and they have forwarded $0.00 to us as of this date.

The ex-client and myself are to compare receipts. We will update at a later date.

If you worked for this company in the past and are no longer there now, how is it that you even know that people are saying distasteful things about them. Or is it that you are the owner of this company or an employee trying to defend it in disguise.

I for one think that you have an ulterior motive for writing what you did. I think that you offer to much information for the inner workings of this company and for that reason I say you are a liar.

LETS SEE IF YOU ARE TELLING THE TRUTH:

1) WHO WAS YOUR SUPERVISOR?
2) WHERE WAS YOUR OFFICE LOCATED?
3) WHO IS THE KEEPER OF RECORDS?
4) WHAT IS THE CORPORATE NAME FOR JSA?
5) WHATS THE OWNERS NAME?

IF YOU HAVE NOTHING TO HIDE YOU WOULD ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS THOUGH I HAVE A FEELING YOU WONT RE-POST.

They ALWAYS PAY CLIENTS ON THE 19th OF EVERY MONTH

#9UPDATE EX-employee responds

Sat, April 21, 2007

I worked for this company for six months before I had to move. They were great to me and taught me a lot of useful skills, i don't see why they are getting a bad rap. The owners have a slogan "we pay our clients!!" painted on the walls and they are meticulous about paying their clients on the 19th of every month. In fact we had to work mandatory overtime on the weekends once a month to make sure thousans of checks were written in advanced of the 19th. what I dont understand is how clients would call and and start yelling and verbally abusing me and other office girls when a debtor told them they paid after years of not paying. these clients wanted to urgently know where their money was, they didn't know how many debtors bounced checks, lied, and charged back cards after clients get paid. I like this company and would work for them again. not only that but debtors will pay clients directly and not want to pay the company their commission because they didn't actually collect it, they just bugged the debtor enough to pay the bill.

thats still a service and they are enttitled to commission. then if the company deducts its commision from remittances due, clients lie and say they never got paid or try to cut the collection agency out of the picture once their debtors are back paying again. maybe the poster should be a man and deal on the up and up, this compnay has always paid people their money.

I have them on my resume and I don't think its fair to post inflmmatory stuff that isn't true. working in collections is hard and its impossible to make evrybody happy. man from fresno write a letter to the owner, or maybe check and see if some of yo0ur other debtors paid yo0u directly and you just dont want to pay them for it, or maybe theres a recession peroid on credit cards being held, these people would never just not pay you get real tell the truth.

HOW TO GET PAID Collections 101

#9Consumer Suggestion

Fri, April 20, 2007

First of all you're wasting your time voicing your opinions on this website. If you want your money back you need to contact your Attorney General, Federal Trade Commission, and District Attorney in your county and whatever county this company is in.

Another option is to file a small claim against them, but you will have to go to their county to do it, otherwise they can challenge venue. You can't make someone travel an unreasonable distance. If you decide to go through small claims you should buy a book to guide you through all the procedures.

YOU HAVE ALL THE EVIDENCE YOU NEED TO WIN A LAWSUIT BECAUSE YOUR EX-CLIENT HAS RECEIPTS AND BANK RECORDS. IN THE EVENT YOU NEED MORE YOU COULD ALWAYS GET A SUBPEONA DUCAS TECUM AND GET YOUR EVIDENCE FROM THE COMPANY.
