Joshua Heckathorn is the President and owner of Creditnet.com.

So why is he on ripoffreport? I'll tell you why. Apex Credit Services is using his online forum to rip people off by offering to sell them aged credit tradelines and just taking their money and running. Despit being fully aware of this, Josh continues to let him post and advertise his business.

This has been going on for years despite hundreds of complaints. Most people would come to the conclusion that Joshua is benefitting financially from the arrangement. Hope to see you do the right thing Josh. It is long overdue. You can't be this stupid. Just boot Apex before this gets out of hand.

After several years of constant complaints about the services that ApexCreditServ was offering and the self-serving, lame excuses given by the principals for their horrible business practices, it is refreshing that Heckathorn and Creditnet have finally gotten some sense.

Why has it taken this long in the face of such overwhelming evidence?

Heckathorn needs to give a more thorough explanation of his site's quiet endorsement of this individual.

Our discussion forum moderators have removed all signature links for "apexcrsrv" (user name of forum member in question) at my request.  In addition, we have asked that apexcrsrv's account be immediately abandoned.  The member has not returned to post in the forum since 3/29/2010.

Furthermore, Creditnet never accepted any advertising revenue for allowing apexcrsrv to voluntarily answer forum questions and link to his respective website. We are not affiliated with his business, Apex Credit Services, LLC, and we have absolutely no control over how disputes regarding their business practices are handled.

Apex Credit Services did run a banner advertisement on our site in January 2009 for 30 days. However, this was after apexcrsrv had been a member of the forum for 2 years, had posted hundreds of useful comments, and even had long-standing members of the forum recommending his services. At the time, it was also confirmed that the business maintained a satisfactory BBB report with very few consumer complaints, all of which were resolved or closed.

Finally, our Credit Talk discussion forum remains a free online community dedicated to helping anyone who has questions about credit and debt.  We welcome all to come and share their knowledge and/or seek free advice from a diverse community of peers.
