Joshua Jackson JDJ Creation SCAM WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHER | BEWARE! Colorado Denver
We hired Joshua as an independent contractor because his personal video business is struggling. He was actually hired for two events. He filmed both events but never gave us the footage we paid for. He now went ghost and will not contact us. We have now contacted the BBB and Denver Police to file a police report for theft. Beware of this videographer.

We were contracted out by denver4k films to shoot two wedding. both of which were upoloaded to the provided dropbox the very next day after the event. John Clark (the owner) wrote me a week later (while we were on vacation in california) and the following messages are copied and pasted from those email:
john: Hi Josh where is the other wedding?
me: I uploaded the second wedding 2 weeks ago. Also, still haven’t been paid for either and we’re coming up on three weeks.
john:Well you need to share the folder because we can’t see it in the Dropbox.
Payments takes 7 to 10 business days to clear your bank account. Please be sure to log in to your square account for any upcoming payments that are on their way. me: It shows nothing is in que for payments so please check in that and get back to me. Once we get that cleared up I’ll check in on the second wedding. Only seems fair as it’s been 14 business days since the first one was uploaded and given my previous concerns it seems the other cinematographer may have been spot on.
john: Well it showing payment was sent to you. I don’t feel like getting scammed so I would appreciate you sending over my clients footage because we have a deadline in which we need to get it out. If you are going to screw up my relationship with the other client then I’m going to have to retract the payments Until we receive what we paid for. Do the right thing because this is somebody’s wedding in somebody’s memories me: I mean, I have uploaded both of them lol. I have done the right thing. I don’t see any evidence of payment is my point :) like I said I can check on the Dropbox when I’m back home but if you wouldn’t mind checking on the payment for me and sending over some form of proof it was sent I would greatly appreciate it. Again, you already have at least one (but I’m pretty sure both) of the weddings which is verified by you so I am not in the wrong here by any stretch of the imagination :) john: I need the wedding that you found on March 31. It is not in the dropbox. I need that today so I can begin the post production on it. I need to get it out or I will be in breach of contract. If that happens I will have to pull you into the matter for your delay in sending it to me. Don’t you understand this? We have f**king deadlines. me: I do understand and am not even in town currently. I uploaded it 2 weeks ago in the same folder as your other weddings from Alex something were in. The same folder I used for the first wedding. Having not heard anything from you I assumed you already had them and am now out of town (as I specified in one of our earlier emails). I’m in no breach of contract as I uploaded them properly after shooting. I even went BACK in and re-uploaded the audio after I got it that Thursday. I’m not sure why you are coming off so aggressively and using foul language when I’ve done nothing but ask for any proof that I’m being paid for the service and work I provided.
john: You need to log in and share the folder with me. It is not there. There is no footage. (at this point he had removed me from the dropbox and knew there was no way to open it from my end) a week later:
john: Josh
Where is my clients footage?

Denver Wedding Films, LLC 1624 Market Street Suite 202 Denver, CO 80202 Website: www.denver4k.com me: I’m sorry, after a week you respond and expect it to be uploaded within just a few hours? Am I still to be paid for the shoot? Need a confirmation as you have a very spotty record for responding and being upfront.
Josh Jackson 503-550-5909 www.jdjcreation.com
josh@jdjcreation.com Also I still don’t have access to your Dropbox.
john: Your dropbox access was reinstated yesterday. Please login with your credentials and begin the upload. Once we receive the footage we will be paying you like you were paid the last time. Please do not delay any further. I am losing my patience. me: You seriously need to work on your people skills. I have never met someone who is so rude. You suspended my account knowing full well I had no access to it when I was out of state and you’re upset with ME over it? I uploaded everything properly and it seems like you or another cinematographer or editor accidentally removed it. Telling someone that you’re “losing your patience” is unprofessional and makes it come across as though you don’t know how to control your emotions. I’ll start the upload and expect payment promptly. I wish you luck in your future endeavors but I truly hope you learn how to appropriately deal with people and be a better person. Will be in touch.
He then reinstated my dropbox account, i re-uploaded the footage (for the second time) and the following conversation happened me: John, I need to be paid for the second wedding before I pursue further action. It has been 12 days since it’s been uploaded to Dropbox. Please advise within the next 24 hours. john: Unfortunately due to your delay in sending the footage to me, there will be no payment for the second wedding. You delayed my post production And interfered with my contractual elation to my client. You can pursue legal action if you wish. me: I will be. You sent an email stating I would be compensated. You will be hearing from my lawyer John. john: Good. You Have better chance at climbing Mount Fuji. Next time don’t delay in giving a company the footage. me: I didn’t. I uploaded it the next day. You suspended my account and made it impossible to re-upload the footage. Given the emails you sent about being paid once I upload them (sent to me May 1st) I think I have a pretty good case here. You can’t deny access to someone’s only means of uploading and then once it’s convenient for you give them access, promise pay and then say “nah just kidding”. That’s not how the world works. Regardless I 100% do have a case here. Take care John. and that was the end of the conversation. I have all of the email backed up if anyone would care to see the concrete proof. The footage i uploaded before leaving for our vacation was removed by either him or anoher person on his team and he put me at fault. even AFTER RE-UPLOADING the footage he started this smear campaign against my company. We still have not been paid and the bride has her wedding video already (i've confirmed with her as well).
