My husband took my car to get the oil changed and have it safety inspected. After the service my car was directly
returned to our garage, approx 5 miles from station.

The next day on my way to work I heard a cla-clunk and
looked into my rearview mirror to see a pipe bouncing
out from under my tail end. I retrieved the part and
continued to work. I began to notice my car had no
pick-up and go.

I left work early to have the car looked at . It was then
discovered my air filter had been removed and was
missing. I called the Joshua Lube & Tune immediately
and reported the discovery. Even though I had in my hand
their receipt with air filter "good" they denied even
touching it.

I wish to explain at this point my air filter was not factory. It was a racing air filter that never needs to be replaced. It was a gift from Hubby. The air filter can not be\purchased just anywhere and has to be special ordered at the cost of 150.00 for the filter only.

The man who put on the racing filter was the man I took
the car to the day of the problem. He informed me
" the only way that part is gone is for someone to have
removed it, because the size alone would not permit it
to have fallen through the motor". "If it had come loose it would still have been under the hood."

The owner of Joshua Lube & Tune continues to deny any
responsibility in this matter. So please save yourself and don't ever go there.

I think they put it back together incorrectly, or just stole the filter part.If it's the type of filter I think it is, it has a "pipe," and that's what you saw on the roadway. Did you retrieve the pipe to show to the owner?

Hey Christina, file a Theft report and list all of the mechanics who were at the station as suspects...You should have the service techs name on reciept. Oh this isnt a Civil Matter either....its Theft. Good Luck
