Joy Pools submitted an unapproved plan to the City of Flower Mound to gain a permit to begin construction on our pool. Prior to completing the final phase of the pool and, after collecting over $23,000 from us, we were informed that the pool could not be completed as originally planned and we would have to accept a pool substantially lesser in quality and design. We were told by Joy Pools that they would not complete the work as originally planned without paying significantly more money. Now we are left with a cement hole in the ground and a safety hazard for children.

Althought there were difficulties in getting the pool built and approved by the Town of Flower Mound, Mike Truesdell, Owner of Joy Pools, worked with a subcontractor to build my pool to my satisfaction. In hindsight, the delay was more attributed to the local town than the builder. This matter has been resolved and I will say that the pool looks great and his company still builds one of the best pools in the local area.
