JP Consulting-Jonathan Perry I wish I would have found this website before I took this joke of a job!!!! Nashville Tennessee
I really wish that I would have found this website before I took the job at JP Consulting. Where do I begin??? The testimonials I have read from other people on this site are dead on!!! JP will hire ANYONE, and I do mean anyone. There is such a high turn over rate I guess he has no choice.
I worked for this company for 8 weeks. I worked 12 hour days for LITTLE pay. The most I made in a week was right at $300, but lets not forget you must buy your own gas. So that week I spent almost $200 in gas because we drive all over the place. We are expected to drive to Nashville in the morning then drive to our territory. After we spend a good 7 hours wondering around our territory we then have to drive back to Nashville at night. So after closer examination of my week, I cleared $100. Wow I worked 60 hours and have a college degree to make $100 in a weeks time. And to think that was my big week, plenty of other weeks I would spend more in gas than I would make. Believe it or not, the first few weeks my checks were less than $50.
Who does not love to cold call people?? Hope you love it because if work for this man you will be doing a lot of it. In a day the goal was to see about 50 businesses, if you were lucky maybe you could sell to one or two of those. In many cases all the business owners of the day would say no. I don't care who you are it is hard to hear that many "NOs" in a day. Along with no, I also was cussed at and got threw out of numerous businesses as well.
Last but most important, there are so many lies in this company. We were told of all the growth potential there was in this company. The hope was to be in management in 6 months to a year. There were plenty of people who had been there longer than that and were no where close to management because they could not keep people on their team. How can you be expected to build a team of leaders when no one will stay for more than a few days? More disturbing than that we lied to our customers. We sold them products which they did not in any way need. A fellow co worker once asked me if I though we sold customers things they did not need, and my honest reply was of course no other than yes.
One of my fondest memories of this job was the business trip(or so it was called) to Memphis. Thats exactly where a group of six girls need to go is to Memphis. There again we individually had to drive and had to go out on our own each day in Memphis. What a blast that was. Of course there was still cold calling of businesses, just in a different location.
Well I hope you are reading this before you have taken this dreadful job. Everyone that has written about this job on this site is correct! Take their advice, I wish I would have.

Go to the Department of Labor

Seriously Go to the Department of Labor and file a complaint!!! Like I said on my report, i was the first one in the company to file a complaint, they did an investigation, called me back and made Jonathan send me a check because JP Consulting screws us out of money. The more people that complain the faster he will be out of business.
