I need immediate help and I hope you could refer me to the correct party.
I had a mortgage and Line of Credit with Chase.
Chase, unethically and illegally forclosed on the property.  I went through months of hell where my account was frozen and noone would accept payment or call me back.
That is done and behind me, thinking it was finally behind me, but.......
They sold the condo at auction and Fannie Mae bought it for the total amount of the mortgage and Line of Credit.   Chase gave the $23,000(line of credit) to their partner bank and charged off $23,000.   Now, they sent me to collections for 23,000, even though they received the monies from Fannie Mae.
Why would our government agency pay $23,000 more than the 1st mortgage and allow Chase to profit, without paying off the other money that was due?  Is this REALLY legal?
Why would Chase get to charge off money that they recouped in forclosure(profit). The property was with the same bank.  Now, I'm in a very agrresive collections situation.
They made an extra $23,000.  They then,  received a tax write off of $23,000 and I'm now in a situation where I may have to file bankruptsy because of a loss they are claiming for $23,000.
ANY guidance will be greatly apprciated.
How long is this going to be allowed?    Is our government agencies still bailing out banks?

Hasn't Arizona been hit hard enough.  Do the banks want blood?   All for greed, no concern for the Consumer!
