Just wanted to share some things that are going on in this branch on El Toro and Moulton in Laguna Hills, CA.

1. When you come in to open a checking account, a personal banker will tell you they have "a package", which includes a checking, a savings, direct deposit, auto transfer, debit card and something else. The banker conveys and insists like you have no choice but have to do "the package". It's a scam. There is no package. They just want you to open as many accounts as possible. Don't fall for it. If you need just a checking, insist on it only.

2. They'll say "Since Chase is new to California we are offering new Chase credit card with no annual fee. It's the only card that has no annual fee..." (that's a lie) Before you even open your mouth they'll run your credit to see if you qualify.

3. If you have a WaMu credit card they'll say "Do you want to switch your card to a Chase card?" or "Do you want us to order a Chase card for you?". If you say yes that means you're applying for a new credit card, but they don't admit it and make it sound like "we're just switching". What they don't say, that your WaMu credit card will turn to Chase card automatically as soon as it expires. If you are not sure what they telling you just ask if they're going to run your credit, if so, they are opening a new card.

4. My credit card interest went up in June from about 9% to 15%. I got a notice in the mail, and it said it's "due to market conditions". Oh, I laughed so hard! What a great way to increase the income! I wish I could raise MY income like that too, just due to market conditions. My payments were always in time. Thank God now it's paid off, so I can stop using it.

5. Whatever issue you have they'll never help you on the spot, send you home to call 1-800 number. They'll never print out statements, check images. Other branches do that, and it takes only a couple of minutes.

6. In this particular branch the staff talks trash about other customers right in front of you. I heard it many times. From customer's outfits to personal details.

Besides anything else, Chase has horrible customer service with no live people to answer your questions. Seems like Chase, compare to WaMu, is focused on sales sales sales and don't give a sh*t what happens to you next.

I personally feel used, ripped off. I think lot's of customers will leave Chase. I know I'm leaving.
