On Febuary 8 a request for a lien release or alternatively a paid in full letter was sent to Chase.  Along with the request a current copy of the title commitment which refrenced the lien in question, along with a copy of the Deed of Trust (mortgage) and a copy of the assignment whereby Chase had purchased the mortgage in question.  The lien was created in 1996.

After jacking around for 2 weeks Chase finally responded.  In their response Chase referenced a lien created in 2002. The 2002 lien was not mentioned in the title commitment; as it had already been released.  Chase paid no attention to the information that was sent to them on Feburary 8.  This was explained to one of their "customer service" reps on February 23.  Basically... Chase made an error.

What did Chase do?  Did they acknowledge their mistake?  NO!  Did they offer any kind of expedited service whatsover?  NO!  Instead, Chase created a new file with a new reference number and started the jacking around period all over again.

Congratulations Chase!  You have now joined Guild Mortage on my 86 list.  That means that if a prospective buyer approaches me with a "pre-qual" letter from Chase; the response to that prospective buyer will be to either find another lender, or find another house.  I will Never, Ever do business with Chase in any form or fashion.
