If you're a company who is looking to hire a debt collector, don't pick these guys. Their website states they have "the highest moral and ethical behavior from all of our staff." However what you get is just like all of the other complains I've read so far. Their staff has the ability to belittle you, be rude, and even when you try to explain to them that they have the wrong SSN on the account and that it isn't your SSN, they hang up on you. To top that off their upper management doesn't give a crap as long as they are making money.

My first call was with Sandy who was rude as possible. Gave me information on an account that wasn't even mine, it was my wifes besides the fact that they got the name right, she gave me all of her information without even verifying I am who I said I was. I could have been anyone, and now just got the Address, SSN, Name, and Date of Birth of someone I didn't know. To top that off she said she had my SSN, and gave me some random SSN they had attached to the account, when I asked for details to be sent to us she said I was refusing to pay the debt, and then when I tried to get her attention to her misinformation about the SSN she believed was mine, she just stated a couple more times I'm refusing to pay, and that she was hanging up. Now I've always found it true that if you treat people with respect they will listen, and you'll end up getting debts paid off faster, than you would if you start out the conversation with threats.

Anyhow, After she hung up on me, I called back spoke with her supervisor who started to get rude with me too, as it seems this is a company built on being rude to people. Anyhow I ended up paying it to get the debt gone, but in our conversation her supervisor said she wasn't able to provide me with specifics because I was not my wife which means the previous rep provided me with detailed information, and should not have. Will something be done? probably not. I'd love to hear that Sandy was fired, but reading other reviews of this company it looks like it is a way of life, and if you aren't rude you aren't doing  your job at J&R Brothers Financial.
