After staying up until 1:00 am on Saturday, 08/21/04, for JR Cigar's "1 AM Madness" and making sure that I was one of the first consumers online, I attempted to place an order for that offer. The connection was so slow that I thought my computer had frozen. I clicked on "Submit" again, and I received an error message that I had placed the order twice.

On the following Monday, I was informed by Customer Service that the order had not processed. Naturally, at that time the "special" could not be extended.

The failure of the server can no way be attributed to me; the failure is that of JR Cigar. I do not appreciate being inconvenienced by giving up my sleep to make certain that I could order, and then losing the opportunity through no fault of my own.

If JR Cigar cannot perform to customer's satisfaction, they should abandon the practice of advertising a faulty web page and enticing customers with expectations that cannot be fulfilled.
