We shipped a classic car from Mass. to Florida, all went well untill delivery day when we got a call from the driver explaining that the car would not start, and that we would have to have a flat bed tow truck waiting at our address in order to pull the car off the carrier when he arrived at around 9 or 10 at night! I said that was a crazy requirement and I work nights for one thing and where am I going to get a tow company to stand around at 9 or 10 at night to do such a thing? He gave me jr's number and told me to call him, when I reached jr himself, he explained to me that he would get a flat bed tow truck (his own) to get it off the carrier and would deliver it to me as I had to work nights, in the morning for an extra fee!! Or he would deliver it to a terminal in Port Richey and would charge me 50.00 an hour storage fee and I could get it anytime I wanted. Port Richey is an hours drive for me and of course the "terminal" would be his own tow yard, than he hung up on me!!! I had to gather friends and tell the driver I would take delivery at my house when-ever he could get there, he showed up at 10:30 pm and we managed to get the car off without a tow truck, we pushed it off!!! Check all web sites and better business bureau reports on this beaut of a company, the bbb in florida gives it an F on it's own site thru the yellow pages it's nothing but horror stories, I didn't contract this company, I went thru a broker with a great A rating with the bbb in Mass. You'ld think they would check the company's they deal with better than this, it took me 5 min's on the internet to discover this looser of a company and owner!!! I will be asking for my money back from them, another thing, before they take your car off, he wants cash or a certified bank check, nothing more!!! something nobody tells you till the end, lucky I had it!! If you want to get ripped off call jrs towing &transport in port richey fl 7841 leo kidd ave ask for jr himself, he's a real beauty!!

Yes Robert, the driver caused the car not to run, it ran fine going on the carrier, he admitted (the driver that is) to messing with the carb, as well as the coil wire, and yes, your right, the time does vary do to traffic conditions, yet there is a resonable time to deliver auto's and an unresonable time to deliver them, and I for one find 10;30pm one of those unresonable time's, and to have been asked to have a tow truck "standing by!" to pull the car off the carrier when it arrived?? Come on now Robert, even you must admit that that is an unresonable demand.

By your own admission all was well until delivery day. So..

Why are you going to ask for your money back?

Did they do something to cause the car not to start?

Was something in the contract that stated they had to deliver it to you by a certain time, and did they meet the time?

Just based on what you have written it does not seem like you would be entitled to all, or even a majority, of your money back.
