I was a team driver with Scott Driskill, who is buying the truck from JSM and Joe Hanley. I did not have that information before getting in the truck with Scott. As the 'owner' of the truck, Scott was responsiblle for repairs, fuel, and maintainence...and MY pay. I was in the truck for 3 weeks, driving for free, without pay. I finally got one depostit in the bank from Scott, but no settlement.

Scott enjoys name dropping and boasting about how many people he's connected to at Panther, FedEx, and other companies, so once I decided I wanted out of this situation I tried to make it as smooth as possible. I did not tell him I was exiting the truck because I felt, as the owner, he might put me out immediately...on the side of the street, if he chose to. I waited to leave the truck until we were in the area of his hometown, in Ohio, and the truck was in the shop for repairs. Scott himself left the truck for almost 2 days. I took that opportunity to gather my things, clean up, and leave. I logged out, took pictures, and left a note for him. I also emailed Panther. JSM and Scott still owe me for 2 weeks of driving, and I have the pros to prove it.

Now, I have another fleet owner lined up but Panther says I'm ineligible to return. Apparantly, Scott and JSM reported that I abandoned the truck. In short, these guys can blacklist you from whatever company you work under and, because it takes them 3 weeks to process your first paycheck, when you do leave you will not receive your last two weeks of pay...no matter the condition of the truck. This truck was not abandoned; it was parked exactly where Scott wanted it.

Of all the fleet owners you can work under at Panther or FedEx, this company is one of the worst. If getting paid matters to you, find someone else. They're involved politically with Panther so there are no consequences to how they treat drivers.
