JStaffz aka Jabari Bowry lied to me for months about how he was some big time music producer who had worked with big name artists such as Wiz Khalifa, G-Unit, Young Money, and many more.  He even told me that he was signed to Interscope Records and was best friends with the CEO(Jimmy Iovine). He said he could get me signed if I paid $260 for one his beats and that he would promote it on his Twitter and Instagram accounts.  It was revealed several times by several real people in the music industry that he had never worked on any song with any big name artist. To make it even worse it was revealed that the beats he was selling aint even his. I did not find out about any of this prior. JStaffz emailed me out of the blue one day and said he had heard my music and thought he could get me signed if I bought one of his beats. Later I found out that he sends out this same email to people every single day. I had no idea.

Before I knew any of this about him, I agreed to send over money for some beats and some of his "promotional" services he said would get me alot of fans and increase my social media exposure. The total ended up being around $1500. The beats I bought ended up being stolen off another producers website I found out later. The "promo services" ended up being nothing but a bunch of fake accounts that followed me. I asked him repeatedly if the followers were real and he lied over and over and said that they were. Instagram and Twitter both deleted my accounts within 2 weeks.

I contacted JStaffz with what I had discovered and demanded some sort of refund. He refused and blocked me from his Twitter and Instagram accounts. Blocked me on Skype even. I sent numerous emails and all were ignored. I called Paypal and pleaded my case. The agent told me that he had several other red flagged disputes on his account but that there was nothing they could do to give me my money back since Paypal does not cover non-tangible items.

I feel very stupid for not googling and finding all of the other scammer stories that so many other people have about this guy. Maybe if I had done that first I would not be out $1500. That is why I am filling out this report today.

PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU SEND THIS SCAMMER ANY MONEY.

1. Where is the email or texts where I said all of this stuff? Where did I say I'm friends with Jimmy Iovine? I've never met that man in my life. Where did I say that I'm signed to Interscope Records?

2. If I didn't produce the songs for G-Unit, Wiz Khalifa and French Montana then why am I credited for doing so on major publications? Why am I credited by Tony Yayo and 40 Glocc on twitter and on Thisis50.com for producing these songs?  See: http://www.thisis50.com/profiles/blog/show?id=784568%3ABlogPost%3A11407547&commentId=784568%3AComment%3A11408321

3. Why is my name in the beginning of the music video for the song I did for Tony Yayo if I didn't produce it? See: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3o6l7SIjFww

4. Why is there video of French Montana in the studio with us in Toronto (where I'm from) with my beat playing in the background (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrHNshdwINw) and why did LP (who's song it is) shout me out on twitter for having good beats? See: https://twitter.com/lpdaoriginal/status/298880661773754368

5. Why does Genius.com have me as the producer for the same songs I said I did with Wiz Khalifa and French Montana? See. https://genius.com/Lp-da-original-betty-crocker-lyrics & https://genius.com/Wiz-khalifa-meet-new-people-lyrics

6. Why are there no producers saying I stole their beats anywhere? Why didn't this person put the website where I supposedly stole my beats from? Where are the producers who made all these beats if I didn't?

7. Who are the "industry people" who said I didn't produce these songs? What are their names? Where are their posts about me?

8. How did I get interviews in The Source and XXL with pictures if I didn't produce these songs? Don't you think they fact check? Why would I do those interviews if I know I'm a fraud? Don't you think they heard the songs I did and checked that I really made them before they interviewed me? See: http://jstaffz.com/post/160682490846/the-source-magazine-march-2013-issue

9. Where are the screenshots of the money this person says I took? No paypal emails? No screenshots? No western union receipts? Why is there nothing here but allegations and no physical proof of any conversation or transactions?

10. There is no rapper named Shawn Davis that has ever tweeted me. Also why didn't this person put their artist name?

11. Why haven't I changed my name by now? Wouldn't a fraud just change their name and keep going?

12. Why did Raekwon try and sign me if I'm not real? Wouldn't he know? See: https://twitter.com/Raekwon/status/140636720998785024

13. Why am I credited for working with Drake's artists Preme (P Reign) and Belly from XO if I'm a fraud? See: http://www.hiphopcanada.com/2010/10/strizzy-kastro-go-hard-ft-p-reign-belly-jay-ny-video/

14. Where are all the other artists that I allaegedly scammed money from? Haven't they seen this too? Where are their reports, screenshots, chargebacks, paypal claims, etc?

This is slander. Probably written by some artist I gave a price to who I didn't end up working with. Regardless, there is hard evidence that this person made this up and there are huge holes in his story with no proof. Clearly, I produced those songs. I worked face to face with all of those artists except with G-Unit. I don't need to offer people record deals for $1500. That is dumb. I'm not signed to anyone to even be able to do that. Yes, I've charged artists $260 for beats. The Twitter and IG promo is something I do for free, along with the mixing. I try to help artists build their own following by showing them the things that have worked for me. Also, I NEVER ask for money until the artists is happy with the production, unless the artist is asking me to do a whole project. Every producer works this way. I make my own beats and if you look on WorldStar or YouTube I have videos of me making them MYSELF. I just work hard and I have some good connects and insight. That's it. There is no hard evidence that I've ever spoken to this person. This really sucks to have to deal with but unfortunatly kids can go online and write whatever they want about whoever they want. Either way, send me your music if you want to work: JStaffz@gmail.com
