I purchased 5 "heavy duty" barber chairs from JTE Systems and in the first 2 days of use 4 of the seat bases broke out almost dumping 2 clients to the floor (one who only didn't fall because she had ahold of her walker as she had just had knee replacement)
When I contacted JTE immediately I was told "you didn't do your homework, you should have bought a plane ticket to Chicago and checked out the quality of the equipement before you made your purchase" by the manager of the company.

I could not continue to risk the well fare of my clients or put myself in liability and JTE would not take the chairs back with out me paying to ship back and a 20% restocking fee.

I was forced to travel 600 miles over the weekend to buy some "safe and functional" chairs to keep my shop open.
The chairs I purchased from JTE have many, many cosmetic issues as well. Very sloppy in assembly, but the biggest and most severe is the danger of dumping a unsuspecting client to the floor. Bad, dangerous engineering and design. I am sick with the stress and worry from my purchase and would not want anyone else to go through this.
