Complaint Review: Jubilee Financial Services

Towards the end of the year 2000 my husband and I saw our credit debt getting out of control. We decided to get help. We had tried non-profit organizations before and weren't happy so we shopped around and found Jubilee Financial Services. They were listed with the Better Business Burea in California and their program seemed to be a really good one. It would cost us money, but we were supposed to have pristine credit at the end of the program so it seemed worth it to us. That was nothing but FALSE PROMISES!

On September 20th 2002 we received a letter from the Federal Trade Commission stating that Jubilee Financial Services had been shut down for violations of Section 5 of the FTC Act. It is also stated that the companies liabilities appear to exeed it's assets and we are not likely to get any of our money back. Few if any of our creditors have been paid.

At this point our heads are still spinning, we are not sure which way to turn or how to even start digging our way out of this hole they left us in.
