Dear Fellow Jubilee Customers:

Today I received a letter in the mail from the Federal Trade Commission regarding their complaint filed against Jubilee Financial Services, Inc. and Jabez Financial Group, Inc. for violations of Section 5 of the FTC Act (see www.ftc.gov/opa/2002/09/opnocredit.htm).

As a customer of Jubilee Finanical Services, I, too, have invested thousands of dollars with Jubilee to resolve my debt. The letter from the FTC provides no guarantee that the monies owed to Jubilee's customers will be returned.

In the FTC's "Operation No Credit" press release, I was stunned to read the following statement under the details of the Jubilee case:

"The FTC staff received invaluable assistance on this case from the Better Business Bureau of the Southland (Southern California..."

My decision to sign up with Jubilee was based on recommendations from the Better Business Bureau in California! Jubliee Financial Services, Inc. was listed as a reputable company to do business with when I signed up with Jubilee in the Spring of 2001! If it had not been for the BBB's endorsement, I would never have signed up with Jubilee! My questions are:

- isn't it the job of the BBB to protect the consumer?
- how many other Jubilee customers used the BBB as basis for signing up as a Jubilee customer?
- what are my rights as a consumer when failed by the BBB?

I am seeking advice from others who are in this predicament with Jubilee. I have not contacted the FTC yet, and am considering contacting an attorney to determine my rights.

Thank you.
