Judge Alex is a mockery of the justice system. I was tricked into appearing on the show, believing I would receive justice against the Sex Offender and Stalker, Jose Antonio Sanchez, that I was there to sue. Coincidently, Sanchez is hispanic, and Judge Alex is an immigrant from Cuba who spoke in Spanish to the audience as well as the felon defendent. I was a federal government employee at the time the show was taped in October 2005, which happened to be hispanic heritage month.

My evidence was not presented (police reports, harassing voicemails from the sex offender, etc.), and I was not allowed by the show's producers to take any witnesses.

I was promised prior to arriving in Houston, TX that Tera would meet me at the airport and take me to meet with Judge Alex to discuss my case and what I was suing for. That did not happen. I was driven to a hotel by a driver which was filled with Hurrican Katrina evacuees who were loitering in the hallways, lobbys and outside the hotel as well. I had no way to go get dinner and was even afraid to leave my room.

I was assaulted by the defendent that night as well, which I reported to Houston Police as well as Larry Moore and Tera of the Judge Alex show as soon as I could. (Judge Alex refused to speak with me prior to the taping of the show, and when I tried to inform to Judge Alex that the defendent was a registered sex offender, the self-proclaimed judge did not believe me.)

I asked the show's producers to send me an UNEDITED version of the show along with transcripts, but those requests have been denied. Instead, the show has aired not once but twice - once on January 26, 2006 and again on March 31, 2006. The show was edited so my evidence was omitted, and Judge Alex proclaimed the sex offender a "romeo" and humiliated me by telling me to stay away from the rapist. My testimony that stated that I had been broken up with Sanchez since February of 2005 was ommitted from the show as well.

Judge Alex supports sex offenders, and the show's producers are guilty of transporting a registered sex offender across state lines in violation of Megan's Law.

To see a related posting, see http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff182355.htm.

I am boycotting all sponsers of the Judge Alex show and spreading the word that I was tricked into appearing on the show. I did NOT sign any contracts prior to flying to Houston, and was handed a bunch of papers 10 minutes prior to the show, which I signed under duress.

Anyone that has had a similar problem with this show please contact me. I would like to file a class action suit against this show for slander on national television, not presenting all evidence pertaining to the case, and not providing unedited tapes and transcripts of the show's hearing.

Corrections to Misinterpretations, Thank Yous, and Advice to Victims and Survivors of Abuse

#35Author of original report

Thu, January 17, 2008

The following comments are posted as a collaborative effort of more than one person:

To Stacey, "educated in the Field of Social Work":

If you really an advocate of victims of violent crime, you would NEVER blame any victim of violence and/or sexual assault for the abusive acts committed by others . Nobody deserves to be abused or raped. Shame on you!

Again, the assault happened in Houston where the show is filmed and was not the reason for the appearing on the show.

This report was filed originally filed by the survivor of the assault in Houston, which occurred in October 2005. She was unable to get any kind of victim's assistance from Texas or Florida because the crime occurred in Texas, she resided in Florida, and the accused resided in Illinois at that time.

It wasn't until October 2006--when the accused was arrested in Alabama--that the original filer of this report received assistance from a victim's advocacy. According to records, the accused wasn't residing in Alabama and had taken a bus from Connecticutt and was arrested soon after his arrival.

There are always two sides to every story; however, it is a fact that the accused was apprehended on warrant-less arrest, as the responding officers noted physical evidence of abuse.

To Robert:
As for being a victims advocate--any one can be an advocate. Some advocates volunteer to go to court with victims to provide emotional rather than legal support; some advocate by making donations of clothing, food, and/or money to sustain victims during the court process and relocating, if necessary; and some may simply write something on a web page in support of someone who needs it.

Who says all victims advocates are paid? Most are volunteers who want nothing more than to lend a helping hand and provide a shoulder to lean on. So don't worry about your tax dollars being misused, Robert. I made a mistake--I should have used the term "volunteer" rather than "representative." Please accept my apology.

To Margaret in Houston, TX:
Thank you for speaking out and voicing your opinion. The world needs more people like you who dare to see the world as it really is rather than hiding behind "rose-colored glasses." Many blessings to you and may you find a better place to live soon.

To Sarah in Nashville, TN:
Thank you for your reply. It is one of (if not the most) intelligent and reasonable posts to date--and thats two years of back and forth rebuttals, comments and updates. Your concern for the survivor is appreciated as well as commendable.

Houston's high crime rate and backlog of cases are the reasons that this criminal case was never prosecuted--the detectives didn't have the time or resources to prosecute a case when two other states were involved (according to emails between the person assaulted and a Houston detective.)

The survivor is currently a senior at a University, majoring in journalism, and is a victims advocate, as well. She is still undergoing counseling, and though not completely healed, she is well on her way to a better life and has a healthy relationship at this time. She advises others of safe ways to get out abusive relationships, and writes legislators (state and federal) to increase awareness of the lack of law enforcement and assistance for victims of crime and domestic violence.

Thank you again, Sarah, for noting that crime rate has nothing to do with race. Victims of Hurricane Katrina are just that--victims--and people faced with devastating circumstances will resort to things they wouldn't normally do when they have lost everything they own and have nothing else to lose.

"Darlene" is Anglo-American and Cherokee Indian. She was in a relationship with the accused prior to the assault and taping of the Judge Alex show--and he is Puerto Rican. However, it was emphasized by Judge Alex and his producers that Darlene is white and from Alabama--and alot of pale makeup was used to tone her color down according to her (and it is obvious in the video tape of the show.) So she felt that the show's producers tried to make it appear that a "white redneck" from Alabama" was biased against the hispanic defendant. The plaintiff was living in Orlando at the time--what did her being a native of Alabma have to do with the case? Anyway, the whole situation was unethical!

To Stacey's "ARE YOU SERIOUS" rebuttal:
The protection from abuse order against the accused was not issued until October 2006--one year AFTER the dinner in Houston and for yet another incident. Why is that so hard to comprehend?

Darlene did NOT appear on the Judge Alex show for a sexual assault case as the assault occurred while she was there to tape the show. No restraining orders had been issued at that time, and Sanchez asked that she have dinner with him at his expense as it wouldn't be safe for her to dine alone. The show's producers would not pay for witnesses or companions tofly with her to Houston--so she was on her own.

Bottom Line: Judge Alex and his producers were negligent in providing safe accommodations for the plaintiff and made deceptive promises to get the plaintiff to film the show. They promised her justice--instead she got raped not only physically but emotionally.

Signed,
Advocates and Friends of Darlene

To victims and survivors of violent crimes and domestic abuse:

Aways "keep ya head up"--stand up for your rights. You may be alone at first and you may feel like the whole world is against you, but you have more friends and supporters than you realize.

Never be ashamed of anything someone else did to you against your will. It is not your fault, and you deserve to be treated better than that--no matter who you are or where you live. Ask for help. There are people who will support, but you have to let these people know who you are and that you want their help.

Sometimes, there is no legal justice for victims of crime. There is universal justice, however, which is spiritual. Healing yourself is your justice. Living a better life is your justice. Justice is within you. All you have to do is look for it.

To all of the people who have helped me, I sincerely thank you. Even if you merely took the time to post something positive on this website, your simple gesture means more to me than words can convey.

Many blessings,
Darlene, a Survivor!

Re: "Racism" about Hurricane Katrina evacuees

#35Consumer Comment

Wed, January 16, 2008

To the gentleman who suggested that the OP was a racist when referring to her discomfor about Hurricane Katrina evacuees, I have some information for you:

I lived in Houston after Katrina and saw what happened to the city after the wave of evacuees came in. Many were law-abiding citizens who went back to New Orleans after it was safe to do so. However, many more were the type of criminals that they have in the murder capital of the nation. The crime rate in Houston rose dramatically after Katrina and even Mayor Bill White attributed the spike in the crime rate to the evacuees. There were many places I was not comfortable going already before the Hurricane happened and afterward, I was even more unwilling.

Before anyone gets on me for being a "racist," consider this: I am bi-racial, hispanic and white. I have no racist leanings and would rather hear someone swear horrifically in front of me than use a racial slur. The truth of the matter about Katrina evacuees is that the ones that weren't your average law-abiding citizen would indeed loiter around either doing nothing or pissing and moaning about FEMA.

To the OP, I'm sorry about what happened to you. The crime rate in Houston is one of the reasons I wanted to get out of there. I hope you're getting the help you need for your PTSD.

What kind of agency spews stories on the internet???

#35Consumer Suggestion

Wed, January 16, 2008

""I am a representative the safe-shelter the victim stayed at while the defendant was incarcerated in Alabama, and I am an advocate for her and many other domestic violence victims. I do not give out my name or email addresses for obvious reasons""

No, but you give out enough information for folks to do a bit of research and find out who this "victim" really is. Also, you filed this report as if YOU were the victim rather than as someone who was reporting what happened to someone else. In other words, you deliberately gave a false impression that YOU were the victim.

If your shelter receives even ONE DIME of taxpayer funds (most shelters do), you have probably violated a few privacy laws by posting this on the internet. My wife is a CPS social worker and she is NOT ALLOWED to discuss cases she works on except with necessary agencies, such as judges, doctors, attorneys and such - there are laws to protect the privacy/confidentiality of the folks she assists. My wife would loose her job if she posted case related information on the internet.

Additionally, unless you were a direct witness you don't know what happened. You have only one side of the story which may or may not be totally factual.

Seems to me somone should be reporting your shelter to appropriate agencies in Alabama to have your agency removed from any government sponsored assistance programs since your agency has demonstrated a complete lack of professional decorum. Quite appalling behavior on your part.

""Anyone that has had a similar problem with this show please contact me. I would like to file a class action suit against this show for slander on national television, not presenting all evidence pertaining to the case, and not providing unedited tapes and transcripts of the show's hearing""

YOU have no standing to file a lawsuit. The actual VICTIM would have standing, but you, the "representative of the shelter" do NOT.

I am educated in the Field of Social Work
I have worked with Victims of Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and other violent crimes
The SO CALLED victim had DINNER with the PERP! Please
"Darlene" wanted to be on TV pure and simple
Get real
Oh by the way Most Domestic Violence Shelters do not have the money to hire Licensed Social Workers or anyone with a Degree - I have had my fair share of completing monthly statements to the Texas Department of Human and Health (which is now split into two separate departments) and to VOCA to generate funds for the shelter
I have also had the "pleasure" of writing grant applications to every corporation that gives monies to agencies that deal with Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and other Violent Crimes
So Darlene did this to herself -

The victim did NOT go on the Judge Alex show to get justice for a rape.

#35Author of original report

Tue, January 15, 2008

This woman, "Darlene," was solicited by the producers of the Judge Alex show to fly to Houston at their expense so that she could be compensated for monetary losses incurred due to malicious acts by the defendant. The rape occurred while she was in Houston to film the show; she was NOT there to get justice for the rape!

I am a representative the safe-shelter the victim stayed at while the defendant was incarcerated in Alabama, and I am an advocate for her and many other domestic violence victims. I do not give out my name or email addresses for obvious reasons.

You have the facts confused. No rape occurred before the victim flew to Houston to film the show; the assault occurred while in Houston and had nothing to do with why this woman agreed to appear on this show.

Before jumping to conclusions, make sure you know the whole story. Are you saying a woman should be raped for having dinner with a man that she has a civil case against? If so, you are no better than Sanchez.

Sincerely,

An Victims' Rights Advocate

Darlene, Judge Alex is an arbitrator

#35Consumer Comment

Mon, January 14, 2008

Darlene,

Judge shows are used to take cases out of the court system and through an arbitrator such as "Judge Alex" or "Judge Judy" they decide whose case is better and award damages, usually paid by the show.

You went to a TV show to get justice for a rape and sexual assault, then had dinner with the said attacker the night before the show was taped, thus undermining your case. You never went to the police after the initial incident?

I have a hard time swallowing your story as I know a few women who have had issues with men who have attacked them and could NEVER have dinner with the man.

Also, why do you post in your replies in the third person, ie..."the woman was...." when you are talking about yourself?

#35Consumer Comment

""You misunderstood the report. The woman was raped while in Houston to tape the Judge Alex show. ""

Why the switch to third person?

You wrote the report in the first person, as if it happened to YOU.

Your subsequent rebuttals are in the third person, as if it happened to someone OTHER than you.

What's really going on here?

FYI, Judge Alex is a former judge and when someone agrees to go on the show they are in fact dropping their legitimate court case and agreeing to binding arbitration with Alex as the arbiter.

Judge Alex "Used" to Deal with this Problem?

#35Author of original report

Sun, January 13, 2008

You misunderstood the report. The woman was raped while in Houston to tape the Judge Alex show.

Judge Alex represents himself as a "real" judge and his producers promised safety and justice for the injured party and failed to provide it.

Peace and Love to All? Yeah right. Crime is rampant and continues to rise, while people like you sit back and blame the victim. Get real.

Judge Alex and his show is Not Guilty by a preponderance of the evidence

#35Consumer Comment

Sat, January 12, 2008

So far, as with everything else in life, if we take a little bit from each response thus far, we would find right.

Rape is wrong and that's that.

This woman obviously made mistakes.

Judge Alex and his forum should not have been used to deal with this case. These shows make for fun talk in the break room, but they are obviously exploitive. There is a concept in the law that if you walk onto a golf course, you accept the responsibility of the occasional golf ball side the head.

The show, as the hundreds of shows before it, should not be held responsible for the situation that they were not even qualified to deal with.

The show did not have anything to do with anything that brought the parties to television.

They are television shows. Springer is going toward his 20 years on television.

If you are raped, don't ever interact with the person that raped you except when in legal processions.

Have you have noticed there are many members of the audience that have been the same since day one, and some of them are seen daily on the other shows, are these employees of the television show?

Why do people go on these shows?

If you go on these shows you deserve what you get.

Love and pEAce to all.

Judge Alex's "Romeo" Arrested/Detained in Alabama

#35Author of original report

Tue, October 24, 2006

One year after the taping of the Judge Alex show and the filing of the sexual assault incident, Jose Antonio Sanchez Jr. was arrested in Alabama for domestic violence and harrassment against the same victim who sought (but was denied) justice from the Judge Alex show, and was victimized again without any followup by law enforcement.

Sanchez's ego was boosted after Judge Alex sided with the ex-con and registered sex offender, and Sanchez thought he could get away with anything. Sanchez is a typical abuser and batterer who thinks he is above the law and his family enables him to do so by lying to authorites about Sanchez's whereabouts.

Judge Alex reinforced this belief to the point where Sanchez bragged that he didn't have to report his correct living address to the sex offender registries because "it is not anyone's business where I live." Sanchez also bragged that he could travel anywhere he wanted to go. An emergency Protection from Abuse Order has finally been issued against Sanchez to protect this survivor of his abuse.

JUDGE ALEX WAS WRONG!!! Yet the producers continue to air the show to this day knowing the emotional harm it does to the victim of show's wrong-doing. Is Judge Alex responsible for the acts committed after the show's taping? No, but Alex Ferrar is reponsible for siding with a registered sex offender over a domestic violence incidence which he was obviously guilty of doing. This judgement led to the offender believing he could continue his abuse and get away with it.

After all, Sanchez won a (made for entertainment purposes only) court case--but in the mind of an abuser, the court was real and Sanchez believed he became above the law. The survivor of this ordeal is working on getting her life back to where it was before she met Sanchez and doing what is best for her and her son. The rest is in God's Hands now.

Darlene, I don't care if you wanted to broadcast the criminal acts of this jerk at halftime of the most recent basketball playoff games, there is no excuse for what happened to you. I can understand that a victim of rape deals with alot of turmoil psychologically and their only hope is that another person does not fall victim to such a monster.

The avenues you took were justified to you, and that is all that matters. What cannot be excused is the actions of this p***k. I do not understand why people chose to feel that you deserve what you got. Darlene, it is your body, and if you decided to walk around with you birthday suit, fine enjoy the breeze. " She still has the hots for him and who knows what Darlene will do next?"

Marc you either truly have issues or you are simply a troll - a troll is someone who comes into an established community such as an online discussion forum, and posts inflammatory, rude or offensive messages designed to annoy and antagonize the existing members or disrupt the flow of discussion. Reading other comments you have posted in other threads supports this.

The OP, whether or not she has "disabilities" was violated and traumatized. The offender committed a crime, and whether it was her poor judgement that led to their dinner meeting or she was intimidated into it, the crime was still committed.

It is the unfortunate state of our society that someone can commit a sexual offense against another person and the victim is further victimized by our justice system. Rape victims are further traumatized by defense attorneys that seek to bring up every negative aspect of the victims life as justification for the crime. The old "she dressed or acted like a loose woman, so she deserved what she got" defense.

Unfortunately and ashamedly for our society this defense often works - letting the offender go free and allowing the crime to be comitted again.

Your comments are disturbing and appalling. You need much more help to become a functioning member of society that the OP will ever need.

#35Consumer Comment

I'm not sure that's what Darlene wants. She wouldn't be able to contact him either, therefore the drama would end. She wants to be able to reach out and torment her "rapist," but hide behind her alleged "disabilities protected by law" while doing so. Her "dinner date" with him would have landed her in jail had a restraining order been in place. Since when do felony rapes get tried on a tv show? I've never seen it. Since when do these shows have to "trick" people into appearing? I thought it was voluntary and that the participents were paid to appear. Mr. Sanchez should get a restraining order immediately. She still has the hots for him and who knows what Darlene will do next?

It is my hope that you are seeking counseling after this traumatic event.

Please understand, I do not defend this person (I won't call him a man, as he is not one) or his actions. I tried to look at it from the point of view of the prosecutor.

The prosecutor very likely considered the fact that you can count on a defense attorney to rake you over hot coals. A defense attorney would do a thorough investigation and bring up every fault he believed you have to try and convince a jury of his client's innocence. The fact that you did agree to have dinner with him, despite your experience with him in the past, would definitely have come up and would likely have affected your credibility.

As for the lack of investigation, you should write letters to the Attorney General in these states to report the ineptitude of the police agencies involved as well as the respective District Attorney(s).

I empathize with you for what happened. I understand your frustration with the situation. I did not intend the tone of my post to give you the impression I was saying you are a bigot, only that the statement you posted (i.e. the stripper) and about the perpetrator and so called judge being in collusion did nothing to support your credibility.

I had dinner with the man because I had no other "support" system in Houston, and I had given my word to Sanchez that I would meet with him FOR DINNER ONLY for a discussion. As a Christian, I keep my word when I give it. Unfortunately, not everyone does the same and cannot be trusted, as I have learned from living in the larger American cities. Of course there is crime everywhere; there is simply more of it larger cities where there is more poverty - that is a fact; not a belief.

I do have a Panic Disorder, which I was being treated for prior to the Judge Alex incident, as well as Attention Deficit Disorder. That means that I have panic attacks, anxiety and impulsiveness. I was too quick to agree to go on the Judge Alex show, that doesn't mean I should have been victimized and then humiliated on national TV. I am currently getting counseling for the trama of the assault and further humiliation on the Judge Alex show.

You are correct when you are state that police view me as a "crazy", even though I have a disability protected by law; it is very sad that a sex offender's word is viewed as more credible than a victim's with a disability. If you look into the analysis of a crime victim's behavior, it is very common for someone that has been tramatized to sound "crazy". The police know this ... it really boils down to the economics of prosecuting a case when it involves three states and a Fox TV show.

The Houston PD didn't even investigate. I have hospital reports, physician's reports, psychiatric and counseling reports from two states from the time the incident occurred. There was a witness at the restaurant prior to the assault that would have been able to confirm Sanchez's behavior and state of intoxication prior to the assault had the police attempted to investigate - they simply didn't want to bother with it.

I am not racist; I was the victim of racism - the belief that only "minorities" are discriminated against is incorrect. I have been called a "stupid white a** b*tch" by several different people of hispanic/puerto rican backgrounds, including Sanchez. I do not use racist terms, and I am offended that such behavior is not viewed as racism by some people when "name-calling" and violent acts occur against white people by other races just as it is when in reverse situations.

As far as justice, I have contacted the Department of Justice as well as the Texas Attorney General's office. I have become more aware of the plight of victims who seek justice, and wouldn't blame any woman for NOT reporting a rape because reporting the crime ends up being as bad or worse than letting it go. It is a vicious cycle where predatory men slide through the justice system until they finally resort to little children to get their deviant sexual thrills. I'm not a psychologist obviously, but I have looked into the psyche of the criminal mind as well as victim's reactions to better deal with my own trama.

I appreciate your honest comments. There is always more than one side to the story, and I needed to tell mine. If nothing else, I hope to get legislation passed so that TV shows will have to do criminal background checks on their guests before they appear on the show; have the contract signed PRIOR to arriving at the destination (I was handed a contract to sign 10 minutes before apprearing on the show - if I didn't appear, the show's producer, Tera, said I would have to pay for the airfare myself); and not be allowed to take a domestic criminal case in mediation on national TV.

If this incident occurred to me, then similar assaults and domestic violence have probably happened on other shows. (Someone on the Jenny Jones show was murdered by another guest after the taping of her show.) Maybe I can prevent somone else from experiencing the trama I went through.

Why in the world

#35Consumer Comment

Wed, May 03, 2006

Why in the worl would you have even considered, in your wildest dreams of having dinner with this man anyway??

From your original post: "I was tricked into appearing on the show, believing I would receive justice against the Sex Offender and Stalker, Jose Antonio Sanchez, that I was there to sue."

From your related post: "How do I know all of this? I did date Sanchez from the beginning of December 2004 until the end of January 2005. When I found out that Sanchez was a sex offender, I could not let him live with me. My life has been a living hell every since the day I thought Sanchez walked out of my life forever."

From the emails you posted: " I did inform Judge Alex that I had met with Sanchez for dinner as promised..."

You knew this man was a sex offender, was stalking you and you willingly met with him for dinner???? I have to question your judgement in this situatiion - it seems a reasonable person would not have gone within 10 miles of this man.

I am not questioning if the incident occurred, only you and he know the truth about that. I think, however, the police would be hard pressed to get a prosecuting attorney to file charges based on your actions in the matter.

Additionally, you do nothing to prove your credibility when you post things such as:

" Jose Antonio Sanchez, that I was there to sue. Coincidently, Sanchez is hispanic, and Judge Alex is an immigrant from Cuba who spoke in Spanish to the audience as well as the felon defendent. I was a federal government employee at the time the show was taped in October 2005, which happened to be hispanic heritage month." and "Why is it that a black stripper claims to be raped by some rich, white guys, the NAACP and Jesse Jackson run to the rescue and when a white woman gets raped, no one raises an eyebrow?"

These posts, along with your "fear" of Hurricane Katrina evacuees smells strongly of bigotry. Although you didn't post the information it would not suprise me if the evacuees were also minorities. Okay, they were loitering in the hallways - that doesn't make them a danger. What were they to do, not even 90 days after being displaced, stay locked in their rooms???

You should consider seeking counseling for your trauma. Have an attorney contact the police and the prosecutor regarding this case. I don't mean to sound rude but the police seem to be viewing you as "some crazy" and aren't going to take you seriously at this point unless you get an attorney involved.

Why is it that when a black stripper claims to be raped by some rich, white guys, the NAACP and Jesse Jackson run to the rescue and when a white woman gets raped, no one raises an eyebrow?

Houston Police Department Refuse to File Charges

#35Author of original report

Tue, May 02, 2006

On the evening of May 1, 2006, my mother received a phone call at her home from registered sex offender Jose Antonio Sanchez, Jr. She said she hung up the phone on him and called the police. I called the police as well, for the offender was not supposed to be calling me and especially my mother's home. I reported the incident to Limestone County Sheriff's Department, who said they would call the rapist and tell him to cease calling my mother's home. (Sanchez does not have my phone number or my son's ... I changed them all many times and he does not have those numbers to call me.)

This morning, May 2, 2006, while on my way to see an attorney (because my disability claim was denied), I received a phone call from Det. Garcia of Houston Police Sex Crimes Unit. She informed me that they would NOT be pressing charges against Sanchez for the rape that occurred on October 1, 2005 in Houston while I was there to film the Judge Alex show. She also informed me that she had the offender call my mother's home number the day before (in order to try and "catch me" in a lie. I do NOT think that was an appropriate thing for a police office to do. My story has been consistent from the beginning, while Sanchez has changed his story numerous times. Det. Garcia also informed me that the DNA evidence and rape kit was NOT processed - the request had been canceled. The case number in Orlando is 2005-380510, taken by Det. Mills.

I will now list the numerous emails that I have sent trying to get closure for my own peace of mind and sanity:

Det. McMurtry:

Please send me the Houston Police Case number for the above subject case. The man that sexually assaulted me is a sex offender who claims to be living in Chicago, but is really residing in CT. Last known address: 11 Grande Ave, Windsor, CT.

Here is a link to his sexual offender flyer:

http://www3.fdle.state.fl.us/sexual_predators/OffenderFlyer.asp?keys=49019

He moves from state to state without notifying state authorities of his residence as required by law. I have filed several complaints against him in both Kissimmee and Orlando and am now residing in Alabama because I have not been able to work due to the trama I have been through. (My son and I were in an accident the evening after I went to the sexual trama center to get the results of the STD testing to make things worse.)

I can be contacted at ----- or sometimes at -----. The offender has called my mother's home as well as my grandmother's home and even called my employer to try to get me fired. (Jim, US Census Bureau, ----.) I lost my job with the Census Bureau on Dec. 10. I am now unemployed and seeking disability benefits. Not only was I sexually assaulted against my will, I have been harassed with "mindgames" and threats from Sanchez's family and friends (some of which I have recorded on voice mail.)

It is time that I have justice. I cannot let this man get away with the physical and mental abuse he has put me through. And considering he was convicted of rape before, I would bet that I'm not the only woman or girl he has done this to - just one that has had the nerve to speak out about it.

Please turn this over to the Prosecutint Attorney so that I can have the justice I deserve. Sanchez is a master manipulator who doesn't work, lives off women, and gets angry and possessive when faced with rejection.

I informed my personal physician of the incident, who then referred me to a psychiatrist. I also notified the disability case worker of the incident besides reporting the incident to HPD, OPD, and the assistant producer of the Judge Alex show.

I will fully cooperate with the investigation. Please help me get justice.

Thank you.

1. The Houston PD case number is #158880005X.

2. I have requested today that Orlando PD send to me the kit. When I receive it I will request that it be processed. Be advised that processing takes several months and that is to merely inform me if there is any forensic evidence to deal with (semen, seminal fluids and so on).

3. Also be advised that the presence of such forensic evidence would only tend to show that a sex act occurred and it would not address the (eventual) topic of consent. We will cross each bridge as we get to it.

-------------------------

Thank you for your cooperation.

Has anyone requested an unedited copy of the tape from the Judge Alex show? If not, you need to request one ASAP. The tape is evidence and it should have been conviscated as soon as the rape was reported in my opinion.

I have requested a copy of the show myself, but have received no response. I did inform Larry Moore and Tera of the Judge Alex staff of the sexual assault and asked them not to edit the tape. I did this immediatelly following my reporting of the assault to Houston and Orlando PD. (Legally the tape should not be edited since it is a court litigation. It would be tampering with evidence, again in my opinion, and I believe it would be a violation of my civil rights.)

During the questioning, Sanchez, Judge Alex and I briefly discussed the night before. I did inform Judge Alex that I had met with Sanchez for dinner as promised, but Sanchez knew that he was not supposed to stay in my room and there was to be no sexual contact whatsoever. I stated, and Sanchez concurred, that Sanchez had too much to drink at the bar and "didn't remember where he was staying." It was only Sanchez, myself and the bartender when the bar closed, and the bartender almost called security because of Sanchez's behavior.

During the filmed litigation, I also stated that Sanchez did not have my current cell phone number at that time nor my current address. Criminal charges are still pending against Sanchez for a domestic assault and burglary conveyance during which my cell phone was broken, and that is why I was in Houston, to try to get money for the damages Sanchez had caused. I am a single mom, and when the legal system doesn't support you, you have to take matters into your own hands, even if it jeapordizes your safety. I can't afford for men to destroy my property; I barely make ends meet as it is. So I put myself in harms way because this show promised that they would reimburse me for the money Sanchez owed.

I can handle the consent part - I said "NO" and Sanchez says we didn't have sex that night either. He is a manipulative liar that moves often to avoid registering as a sex offender and thinks he is smarter than the law. I'm positive that there is forensic evidence on the underwear that I submitted at the Sexual Trama Unit in Orlando because I was wearing those and they had not been washed. It bothers me that Rick Salcedo had possession of the evidence for so many months, so the evidence could have been tampered with.

I even wrote a letter to Gloria Allred soon after the assualt requesting her legal assistance for the crime commited against me and received a response from her. You want evidence, I got it. You want witnesses; I have them. You want credibility ... I have that, too. And I have a disability. A disability that would make it hard for me to lie even if my life depended on it. I tell the truth. And I do expect justice. What is the point of having laws when they aren't enforced? You want to interview men that I have dated - you can do that, too. I have nothing to hide. As a woman, I do have the right to have sex when I want it, and I definitely have the right to say "NO", no matter where I'm at, no matter what I'm wearing, no matter if I did have a relationship with that person in the past. NO MEANS NO! PERIOD.

If you require any further information, you may contact me at --- or ----. Sanchez is not aware of the evidence obtained from the sexual trama unit; that is confidential and should not be disclosed to Sanchez as I'm sure you know. That information should be released to his attorney only after he is indicted, I believe.

Thank you,

Dear Det. McMurtrie:

Why is it that when a black stripper claims to be raped by some rich,
white guys, the NAACP and Jesse Jackson run to the rescue and when a white woman gets raped, no one raises an eyebrow?

Could it be that the NAACP and Jesse Jackson are trying to get their
minority "limelight" back from the illegal immigrants?

As you are well aware of, I was raped last October in Houston and the crime was literally "swept
under the rug" by Houston PD and you as well. Why? Because the sexual assault involves Fox TV and a cuban immigrant TV judge as well as a puerto rican registered sex offeder. I, as a victim, was a WHITE federal government employee, single mom, NOT a stripper and NOT RICH. I had no chance for justice.

Why is the double standard, other than media sensationalism? Is media
sensationalism controlling our justice system as well as our immigration
system? To be determined ...

Some details posted here:

http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff184852.htm

http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff182355.htm

Is that true? My ancestors fought in WWI, WWII, the Korean War, and the
Vietnam War. I have relatives that fought in Desert Storm and Iraq. My family fought and even died for my rights; I believe I have civil rights and deserve justice as much as any legal American citizen.

I have lost my job, my home, and my car will soon be repossessed. I have filed for disability due to PTSD and trama I have been through, and still haven't received an answer from the Disability Office.

I demand that someone stand up for my rights as well as my sons. Does anybody out there care?

Please send an update on the case ASAP. You had informed me that DNA evidence takes months ... yet in the Duke Lacrosse case, the DNA evidence results took what ... a week or so? I'm not stupid, Det. McMurtrie. I will not allow HPD to coverup this crime against me!

Ma'am,

1. I do not know why the NAACP or anyone else offered to help a black
stripper. That is not a Houston case and I do not know the finer details of
that matter.

2. I do not know why the NAACP is involved in that scenario. I do nto know
anything about Jesse Jackson. That is not a Houston case and I do not know
the finer details of that matter.

3. I am aware of the report that you made here. I was the person who took it over the phone. We do not normally take reports over the phone but my intentions were to help you, in some way, and that is why I went against the grain and generated a report over the phone. I do not know anything about TV or the Judge Alex show (I've never seen it). I do not know where Judge
Alex is from. I do not know of any case that has ever been "swept under the
rug" by our agency, despite what you might have read or heard somewhere. I
know that sometimes we read and hear things that are not always true or
accurate.

4. I do not know of any double standards because, again, I am not working
any cases at this time that involve a black stripper or the NAACP or any celebrities. And I'll note that when I took your report (by phone) that I asked your race only because I needed that information to generate that
initial report.

5. I wish you the best of luck with your variuos situations: PTSD and so on.

6. I have checked the status on your case #158880005X and it is still
pending
in our Crime Lab. So are hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of other cases and the victims in all of those other cases are white, black, brown, asian and so on. Our Crime Lab was closed for quite sometime and they have only
recently reopened so there is a backlog of cases to be processed. There is nothing that I can possibly do to change that as I have no control over their actions whatsoever. Further, I cannot in clear conscious ask that your case
be moved ahead of anyone else who has been waiting even longer than you.
And,
please know, there are indeed others who have been waiting much longer than
you...

7. I will occassionally check to see if there is a change in the status of your case. When I find something, be it good or bad, I will call you or
(now)
e-mail you with that information. Based on the status of other cases that
have been going on longer than yours, I would venture to guess it will be
several more months.

8. A reminder: If there is a presence of any forensic evidence in your case
it
will only help to show that sexual activity occurred and it will not address the topic of consent.

9. My last name is spelled McMurtry (as in my e-mail address), not
McMurtrie.

Sincerely,

Detective McMurtry

Dear Det. McMurtry:

All of the information you have requested was given in detail to Officer Evangelista (14596) and Det. Cynthia Mills of Orlando Police Department. The case # is 2005-380510, created on 10/03/05. One major thing I need to correct - the following statement by Officer Evangelista was incorrectly written:

"Both parties willing met for LUNCH that AFTERNOON and had several drinks afterward."

I did NOT arrive in Houston until late that evening of Oct. 1, and the restaurant at the Four Point Sheraton (2828 Southwest Freeway, Houston) was closed. The hotel was filled with Hurricane Katrina evacuees who were loitering in the hallways, lobby and outside, so that is why I had the offender meet me at the hotel (I had no transportation, only $35 cash left for me by the Judge Alex show, and was more afraid of the evacuees than the offender at that time. Since the Sheraton restaurant was closed, I walked with the offender over to an adjacent hotel to have dinner, where I had something to eat. Remember, I told you that the bartender was concerned about my safety. The bartender had to make the offender leave because it was closing time and the offender was becoming obnoxious. I informed you upon my first call that the bartender at that hotel was a witness.

I also asked that you get an UNEDITED copy of the taping of the Judge Alex show because it contained evidence and testimony of all the incidents, including the assault, on that video. I have requested a transcript and video from the Judge Alex show's producers; but was denied. Since no law authority notified the Judge Alex show staff of the incident (although I did), the show has aired twice to date, causing me much humiliation and distress becaue the show edited out most of my testimony and evidence. I did inform the Judge Alex show (Tera and Larry Moore) of the sexual assault that took place after I had the rape kit and filed the official police reports. See the following posts:

http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff184852.htm

http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff182355.htm

The offender should be residing at the following address (if not, he is in violation of Megan's Law and should be arrested for that as well):

http://www.sor.state.ct.us/pls/sor/wsor$offender.queryview?P_SPBI_ID=538134&Z_CHK=32057

As listed on the flyer, his date of birth is 8/13/67, and he uses two social security numbers that I know of:

SS# -------3135 and -------2689.

In Officer Mills report, she stated that I sustained a tear in the vaginal area at the six o'clock position and the evidence was placed into OPD under ET3307A. She also stated that she contacted HPD in order to verify that the incident was within your jurisdiction. She spoke to Det. Santos.

Det. Mills took into evidence a pair of panties that I had on before and after the rape took place. I don't remember what other evidence was taken. I was emotionally and physically exhausted and had been taking xanax, which are prescribed for panic attacks and generalized anxiety disorder.

If you still need me to re-write what was already reported (as in a victim's statement and how the crime has affected me), please advise and I will do so. My best friend is a paralegal and can notarize it for me, if necessary.

Sincerely,

To: Det. McMurtry
RE: Ma'am Part II

In reponse to your terminology, i.e.

"Please draft (type up) your version of what occurred here in Houston and
describe the event as detailed as possible."

I believe that should have been stated "please draft what occurred here in Houston ..."

It is not "my version", it is the truth. I know all about "innocent until proven guilty", but to a victime that has suffered much, the term "your version" is very offensive.

Thank you.

After all of that, I went to the attorney's office today and was informed it would take about 14 months for the disability appeal. Apparently being white and some education is a bad thing when it comes to collecting disability. In the meantime, how am I supposed to support myself and my 10 yr old son. I have an 18 yr old going into college next Fall as well.

I was in a car accident on Oct. 26, the day I received the test results from the rape kit I had done on Oct. 2. I have not worked since. I have no insurance, no place to live, no income and no justice.

What would you do? I am seriously considering offing myself ... my only prayer is that someone has the balls to sue the HPD Sex Crimes Unit as well as Judge Alex for the trama and mental anguish they have caused me. At least my sons will be better off without me!

As of April 6, 2006, Sanchez confirmed his address one day after the post on this site. The system works! Just wonder if the authorities really verified that he's living at this address or just took his word for it? (According to threatening messages I received from his wife to leave her husband alone, i.e. drop the charges against him, he is living at her residence in New York. At least he is registered somewhere, and if he isn't, he should be arrested in accordance with Megan's Law!
