In 2005, I was involved in a criminal case in Miami-Dade County, FL. Julia Frances Bonner was the ASA (Assistant State Attorney or prosecutor in my case).

In my opinion, she is very unprofessional and incompetent as an attorney. Here's why. in 2005 while serving as an ASA in Miami-Dade County, FL she violated the professional rules of ethics and conduct that ALL attorneys are subect to follow, specifically "The Golden Rule" during my trial by referring to me as a "psycho" during her closing argument to the jury, asking the jury how they would feel if a "psycho" like me terrorized them.

The 1st Rule of Golden Rule Is: You Don't Use the Golden Rule

In many states, such a statement could be grounds for an immediate mistrial. Often called the Golden Rule argument, the attorney making the statement appeals to the jurors' emotions, asking them how they would feel if they were in the same situation as the victim. This is improper because:

"The walking in plaintiffs shoes argument, or as it is sometimes called, the Golden Rule argument, has been 'universally condemned because it encourages the jury to depart from neutrality and to decide the case on the basis of personal interest and bias rather than on evidence.'"

Jurors are supposed to decide based on logic, reason, and the admissible evidence, not their emotions.

Again, in my opinion as a defendant involved in a criminal matter where Julia Frances Bonner represented The State Of Florida, acting in her official capacity as an attorney and an officer of the court, due to the above described circumstancesm this woman was extremely unprofessional in her courtroom conduct.

As such, I would advise be extremely cautious about allowing her to handle any legal matter as at least in my case, she has acted unprofessionally and proven herself to be an unethical attorney who threw the rule book out the window.
