Where do I start... I bought the A-Box TV (Android TV box) at the convention show (Home & Garden September 5-7) in Orlando FL of fall 2014. Julie was not present but her employees Sean and another girl (very kind and helpful). I was so excited about the gadget that I bought 2 of them. And that's where the dilemma started. 

After almost 6 weeks I still haven't received both boxes so I called and asked. Answer was it is being processed. At some point I received an email from Julie saying that the order got canceled because she decided to switch the credit card company (due to high volumes of sales within the past 2 weeks) that was on Oct. 28th of 2014. 1 hour later (seriously 1 hour later- indication of disorganization)  I received an email claiming to disregard the previous email because I was one of the "lucky" customers that that case didn't apply to. woohoo. The boxes finally arrived on November 20th. 

! box was for us one box was for our in laws. Since my in laws are a bit older I decided to hold on to one box and just give it a try with our box. Immediately after opening the box 1 small paper slip fell out saying "we are apologizing for the inconvenience but we stopped distributing the keyboard that comes with the package" the keyboard can be obtained at an electronic store for about $20. (Something in that fashion, didn't keep the small paper slip - should have because--> well read on). 

I started playing with the box and it was highly complicated to navigate through. No manual was given at that time, just a brief description how to set it up. Well I set it up and I asked my hubby to join and to figure it out together since I couldn't do it. He gave up as well. I called Julie, she referred me to some instruction video's on YouTube that she posted. Ok, great I did everything the instructional video(s) (3 videos) were suggesting. And still, live streaming didn't work, mash-up was not existent (current theater movie streams), couldn't watch any news/sports/tv shows. The movies that were streaming were in very poor quality. 

I contacted Julie again and told her about the issues. At this point both my hubby and me decided to just send it back because we only had a 3 day trial on money-back guarantee. Julie said that the 3-day money back guarantee changed to 30 days, and she highly suggested to play around with it.. Ok, 1 week later (after playing around some more) I called and said that non of the programs are working, mash up is not there and we lost our interest. She offered us to fix the problem if we send the box back to her (at our own expense (postage)). We agreed to it and send our box + the other box (unopened) back to her. After almost 2 weeks (had to contact Julie again and ask where my box and refund was) the box arrived (supposedly with an updated version). Furthermore (and I am so glad to have everything in writing) I asked her whether our 30-day period would start over again. She said yes (again, have it in writing) so our 30 day trial period started somewhere in the middle of December 2014. 

Few days later we FINALLY decided to give the box back because it just didn't work properly. I contacted Julie and she tried everything to not have us send that box back. I just dropped a line and said that we have made our final decision and the box is going back. On 12/26 I am receiving a call from Julie (while I was in the mall). She was extremely impolite and disrespectful. SHE SAID: "I am not going to refund your money back because it's out of the 3 day trial period and I have kept the keyboard". Doooo whatttt, was my initial reaction. I said very calmly: Julie I think there is a mistake because I never received a keyboard and I do have it in writing that I have a 30 day money back guarantee beginning 12/4 or 12/5 after the updated box arrived furthermore the last day of return woul be 01/03/2015". At this point she started yelling at me (had to put my phone away). I just said: "Julie, with all due respect you are delusional and dishonest. I have EVERYTHING in writing and you will refund me my money". Then I just hung up, contacted my bank and disputed the charges. Bank took care of it, I send ALL EVIDENCE incl. receipt of box (USPS), receipt of me buying the needed keyboard at Best Buy, receipt of returning the keyboard at Best Buy. 

Bottom Line. People be aware of this business and Julie, complete and utter rip off. 

Also, I had many conversations with her (can't list it all) where she put me off (helping to navigate) because she either was visiting her daughter in NY or was in a hospital or who else know what. Excuses, after excuses. 

Again, I would not take the time to write this thorough report especially not if I wouldn't have any evidence. But lucky me, I have everything in writing and I kept every single receipt!!!

First off.

I have no affiliation what so ever with this company or the people involved within it.
Nor do I have any affiliation with the particular industry.
My comment is strictly factual and un-opinionated.
I write these articles (comments) in fairness to the accused and or the accuser

After doing some simple "Due Diligence" (for those of you who don't understand that big word, it means looking into the venture)it seems odd that people would write that this company, or for that matter, this woman is a ripoff or illegal business.

Her business is blatantly listed as an LLC (Limited Liability Corp.) and if you start with the assumption that she incorporated in Florida (since her address and sales shows are there, duh) and Google the business you can find her listed with business name, business address, and her personal name.

If you further Google Florida Incorporation, you will find the Florida Sunbiz website (add a .com after that to get there) where you will find after a brief search, her company listed as "ACTIVE" and her Florida Incorporation number.

Then if you further, open her company listing, you'll note some interesting things in there.

1) Her company is fully disclosed and a legitimately recognized, legal corporation of the State of Florida.
2) Her company is in fact, active as of the date of the publishing of this comment.
3) Her company was first incorporated 10/29/2014 making it a little under 2 years old.
4) Her company address. (I haven't actually investigated the authenticity of the address)

Now.

What this should tell you is several things.

1) Her business is a legitimatly filed, public Florida Business.
2) She's not hiding her corporation information from anyone.
3) She's not disguising her business product (A-Box TV, LLC)
4) She understands the reason and the credibility for incorporating.
5) If someone (The FTC perhaps) wanted to find her, it wouldn't be incredibly difficult.
6) Her public profile makes locating her relatively easy as well.

So...

If she's the cook selling illegal services that these people make her out to be, why hasn't anyone arrested her?
It's certainly not because they can't find her.

Now. How about the community in general...

I did a BBB search for her company.

Oddly, her company comes up as listed (meaning she or someone else, actually listed it since the BBB doesn't ever list). Her company has a "B" rating and after two years, only 6 complaints (amazing to me as my company gathered 6 BOGUS complaints the first week I listed it) which were apparently resolved.

So.

If she's a ripoff scam, and if her business is illegal, why is she doing so well and still free to do it?

Maybe because it is legal?
Maybe because there will always be a small handful of people who complain (and were wrong from the start) and before getting they're issued worked out, start shooting?
Maybe it's a competitor?

My opinion however (if asked). Is that she should be applauded for her courage, engenuity and tenacity as an entrepreneuar in the American Business ranks.

 I have had a similar experience myself with julie bishop and this a box she represents. I have had to send it in at least 4 times for repair. It never comes back with instructions...you just have to figure it out on your own and if you can't...she talks very condescending to you. The live stream has never worked as well as the sports channels she touted. Julie has lied to me repeatedly, always has some "emergency " of why she isn't available, has about 3 teenage kids for her tech support help and they cant usually help either. They always tell you to continually send in (& of course i have to pay the shipping there and then she makes me pay the shipping back as well. Then she hits you up with a "programming or upgrade" fee. Got the a box back this last time and it doesn't work at all and she absolutely refuses to replace it or refund money or even acknowledge that the box doesn't work! It's always my fault or my internet...yet both her tech kids confirmed my Internet speed was more than efficient. But more than anything....she is disrespectful, hateful, and has attacked me personally....all because the piece of equipment she reps doesn't work. I have exchanged multiple emails with her and everyone gets more hateful. I've kept them all and I've been told I could sue her. Records show she was arrested in 2013 and I think she is probably a scammer as she definitely doesn't stand behind her product and fix it or replace it or refund your money. I am so tired of dealing with her unprofessionalism, lack of customer service, etc There are numerous android boxes out there to choose from and never having to deal with her again would truly be a blessing! Warning: buyers beware...this is one to run from. You'll regret the day you bought this piece of equipment. She won't fix it, she won't replace it, she won't refund your money but she'll squeeze more money out of you and be a totally evil the entire time you have to deal with her.

BEWARE! WARNING! This sleazeball - Julie Bishop- is selling $50 Android Boxes pre-loaded with Ice Films, Show Box, and many other illegal free apps for $300 and putting YOU in danger with the MPAA, RIAA, and many copyright lawyers. While watching copyrighted STREAMING material is a MISDEAMONER..

... The government is working on making it a FELONY.

She will claim that Obama and the FCC passed a law allowing all streaming to be free, meanwhile taking your $300 for a $50 Andoid Box with illegal software on it. You as the viewer WILL BE held accountable and SUED by the MPAA, RIAA and any other entities. She goes from Home Show to Home Show across the country selling these boxes with a 1-year warranty claiming FREE HBO, SHOWTIME, PPV, MOVIES, ETC FOR LIFE. As a matter of fact Fast and Furious 7 which just released in movie theatres was just uploaded to Show Box and gloated about being able to watch it free at the most recent Home Show.

She is currently being reported to the MPAA, RIAA, and over a dozen copyright lawyers with actual videos of her selling and marketing the product in such a way that you will get FREE movies, PPV, and pay channels, NFL, Baseball and other sport packages for free. It is only a matter of time before she is investigated, shut down, and sued/arrested. Do not fall victim to this scam as they may find your CC payment.

Do some research people – it’s it’s too good to be true, IT IS. Unfortunately or Fortunately for Julie Bishop, it is only a matter of time before scum like this end up behind bars with millions in restitutions. Don’t be a party to it!

Agatha purchased 2 A-Boxes from us on 10/26/14.  At the time we decided to switch Merchant Services thus having to credit all sales for the day.  For the inconvenience we offered a $25.00 discount to all those who decided to reorder with us and Agatha was willing.  

On 11/24/14 Agatha asked us if we would accept a return of 1 of her boxes and do a reprogram on the other box.  I did explain that is was long past her 3 day return policy but that I did not want her to be stuck with an item she wasn't going to use and so I did indeed give her a full refund for the first box and at my own expense reprogrammed her second box.  She received her second box back in her possession on 12/1/14.  I received several calls and emails and she was very pleased with the product.

In February of 2015 I receive her box back asking for a refund.  I told her no!  It was long past the refund policy, she did not return all pieces of the A-Box TV and I have her on recording yelling and screaming and cussing at me.  I wrote her the following email and sent it to her

"We spoke on the phone and you were extremely rude to me and then hung up on me. I refunded your other box with no wishes even though you did not return the keyboard to me. I will not refund this box it is long past The return policy and you did not return it again with the keyboard. If you would like to send me six dollars I will be more than happy to ship the box back to you but our return policy is clearly stated and after the rudeness on the phone I'm not willing to work with you."

Because she fraudently went through her credit card company and got a refund on the product by lying, I have filed a civil lawsuit against Agatha Fowler.  My lawyer will comment on this after we settle in court.

PLEASE NOTE - the maturity level Agatha show even when filing this complaint, she truly needs to get psychological help to help control her anger!
